Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! Here is the word for your meditation and prayer! I am pleased to continue sharing the word of hope and encouragement, at such a time as this. The title of my message is: " DRIVING OUT COMPARISON"
In my previous sharing I spoke about " The Dangers of Comparison". There are some people who are always comparing themselves with other people and therefore live in competition all the time. Such people usually live in discontentment and are easily influenced by the spirit of jelous, grudges, hurt and offense.
However, you can drive out comparison and competition by becoming happy with what God has already given you. According to James 1:17, " Every good and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, in whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." Who does God reserve these good and perfect gifts for? The gifts that James describes are for anyone who will believe and receive them - including you and me!
John 10:10 says, " ........I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." This verse is directed to believers. Accept what God has for you because everything He offers is good - He provides health, prosperity, favour, protection, and greater things than you can even imagine.
Paul expresses it this way in Ephesians 3:20: " Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
God has things planned for you that are greater than you can ask or think. Begin to stretch your imagination today and don't allow anything such as offense or unforgiveness, to hold you back!
Remember, your today's imagination, can be a manifestation of your tomorrow's realities! Imagine it, believe it, hope and you will have it tomorrow.
The Bible also says, " For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. " They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and and a hope." ( Jeremiah 29:11 NLT).
God has better plans for you and me. Live in His will and believe His word, even during the Covid- 19 lockdown period, you can believe God to meet you at the point of all your needs.
Drive out that spirit of "Comparison and Competition" in the name of Jesus, and you will live freely and peacefully.
