THE REDEEMER HAS COME

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! As I was just reading the story of the "Good Samaritan " in  Luke 10vs 30-35, the Holy Spirit dropped something in my spirit to share. This is a common passage of scripture, where Jesus was teaching about relationships. The message I want to share is entitled "The Redeemer Has Come!"

Jesus said a man fell upon robbers who beat him and left him for dead. Man is made of spirit and flesh. When sin came in, it left us spiritually dead, so the other half side of the man was dead. If this man had  failed to get attention on time, the other half would have eventually died as well.
If the Spirit is dead, your flesh doesn't last, it also dies.

While this man was in this condition, there came a priest who passed by on the other side. Later on there came again a Levite who also passed by on the other side. These two were going to church, but had no time for a stranger and desperate person.

However, after the two men of God had both passed, there came a Samaritan who didn't  pass on the other side.
He came to him and bandaged the wounded man's wounds and poured oil and wine on him.

The priest when he came he had no solution for the wounds and  state of the wounded man. The priest represents a church. No church can pull you out of sin. That's the reason why some commit adultery, fornicate, lie, steal and do all sorts of things and still go to church every Sunday.

Some of us have positions in church, we sit in front chairs and  in sin we command front positions. Church is not the answer to a sinner. It passes on the other side. That is a priest - a person of law. Law has no compassion and love.

Then came a Levite who also did the same as the priest. A Levite represents a pastor. Again the pastor is not  an answer to the sinner. We all sin, but we have our pastors who pray for us, yet we live in sin. Having a pastor or Church doesn't guarantee one peace of the presence of God. We all need Jesus to survive storms of life.

After the priest and the  Levite had gone past, there came one who belonged to another country, a good Samaritan. He disembarked from his horse/ mule and attended to the wounds of the wounded man. The man was not empty handed, he had oil, which represents the Holy Spirit and wine, which is the  word of God (Matthew 4vs4).The man had money as well, which  is the provision from God. Ecclesiastes 10:19 says, " .........money answereth all things."

A spiritually dead person, before anything, needs the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Don't ever make a mistake of establishing your relationship with the church and pastor, before receiving Jesus first.

The Bible says, when he saw him he had compassion. When Jesus saw us wounded by the devil and left for dead, he had compassion and left his kingdom to attend to our wounds. When he was attending to the man he identified with him and put him on his own mule/ horse. Jesus  Christ didn't only take us out of sin, he also put us in His kingdom.      That is on his own mule. Remember, King David put Solomon in his  own rule.

It is only the word of God that raises a dead man. That is wine. ( Psalm 107vs20, Acts 3vs 5-7).            That is the reason Jesus in His first miracle, turned water into wine. If a dead man receives wine he resurrects. And if he resurrects and gets oil , he shines.

He was then taken to an Inn, that is now the church.  So its Jesus first, then church later. We have many people that are in Church without Jesus. This is why there is no increase and growth in the body of Christ.

A church attends to the people who are brought by Jesus. In Acts 2vs41-44 the Bible says, they continued together breaking bread and fellowshipping and the Lord added many to the church. ( Acts 2vs46-47).  Pastors can only shepherd and look after people who are saved by Jesus Christ.

The Samaritan even paid two denari to the Inn keeper. So let me preach the gospel of Jesus, I have two denari from the Lord. Wine, oil, the Samaritan's mule and the denari and then the Inn, the devil has no chance, you shall live again.

Your marriage is being revived and restored again.
Your business is coming up again.
You will make it in this land of the living, before you go to heaven or depart mother earth. ( Psalm 27vs13-14).
Your health will be restored again.  ( Joel 2vs25-27)
Your dignity shall be restored again.
Your work is coming up again.
Your relationship is being restored again.
You are now riding upon the Samaritan's mule, no - one shall stop you.

You have been marred and scarred all over, but now the wounds have been healed and cleansed by Jesus's precious blood. ( 1John 1vs7).
Broken hearted people's spirits have healed  and comforted  by the Redeemer. ( Jesus the good Samaritan).    ( Psalm 34vs17-19).

A Redeemer has come, one who does not choose your colour, education, tribe, race and status, but loves and cares for us all.
When Jesus comes in your life, things change and there will be a turn around in your life.

Come as you are into the Inn ( church).
Jesus is waiting is to attend to you all the time ( MATTHEW 11vs28-30).
In whatever condition you are in, he accepts and cares for you as you are.( Isaiah 1:18).
Cast all your cares upon Him, He will sustain and take care of you ( ! Peter 5vs7, Psalm 55vs22).

Be restored, comforted and encouraged in the name of Jesus.

May God richly bless you all!

FORGIVENESS

Greetings in the name of Jesus. In introducing the above subject of forgiveness, I want to mention that because of many people who are offended and hurt , due to different offenses in life, some people are failing to forgive and forget. Forgiveness is very crucial and important in our spiritual journey. Unforgiveness is usually triggered by an offense which causes anger and bitterness.

The Bible says, " Be ye angry and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wraths neither give place to the devil. ( Ephesians 4vs26-27).

It is necessary that we break the cycle of offense, which causes unforgiveness and bitterness.
Many marriages, homes, families and churches have been divided because of offense. Sadly, this cycle continues because the offended person rarely realizes that they are the problem.
Unforgiveness is often triggered by an offense, anger and bitterness, leading many people to have scars in their hearts and fail to forgive and forget.

We should avoid corrupt communication which provokes anger, and whatever comes out of our mouths must be edifying and building one another. ( Ephesians 4vs29).
Let us not grieve the Holy Spirit by our corrupt communication and anger ( Ephesians 30).
" Let all bitterness and wrath and anger, and clamour and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. and be kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" ( Ephesians 4vs31-32).

Jesus said in Matthew 18vs7, that offenses will come. The issue is not whether  or not offenses will come, but how we handle them. To hold onto an offense brings unforgiveness, pain division and destruction. Releasing the offense and " letting it go" will bring peace and unity. God's plan for the believer is to live offense -free.

We need to be liberated from the fear of hurt and allow ourselves to enjoy the blessings of God.   Learn how you can be released from the cycle of offense. Try to accept rebuke, correction and advice, in order to develop the fruits of the spirit, that will enable you to forgive yourself first and other people. ( 2 Timothy 3vs 16, Galatians 5vs22-23).

To understand how to deal with the spirit of offense and break the cycle of offense you must know:
> How to deal with offense people.

>Offense keeps us from fulfilling God's plan in our lives.

>Offense carries serious repercussions that affect every aspect of our lives.

>Reasons why we get offended.

>How to release offense.

>How to keep from being offended.

It is important to know that offended people are everywhere - they are not only in the world, they are also in the church. No matter where you go in life, you can meet someone who is upset and offended.
Because offense is such a widespread problem, Satan uses it as a tool to detour or derail believers from what God has called them to do. Many people have destroyed their families, relationships, plans and visions because of unforgiveness that was caused by offense and anger.

The Greek word used for offense in the New Testament is "Skandalon" which can be translated "bait stick".
Offense is Satan's bait stick that allows him to destroy your life.
As long as you are determined to the offense, your freedom will escape you. While you desperately cling to the bait, the devil effortlessly moves in with death and destruction.

The devil will instil fear and hurt in you, bitterness which leads to stress, fatigue, high blood pressure, hypertension and sugar diabetes. This is the bait that is destroying many people.

As I continue with the subject of forgiveness, I want to define what forgiveness is about?

What is the definition for forgiveness?

Answer:-

The definition of forgiveness could be -giving up my right to hurt you, for hurting me. It is impossible to live on this earth planet without getting hurt, offended, misunderstood, lied to, and rejected.

Learning how to respond properly is one of the basics of the Christian life. The word forgive means to wipe the state clean, to pardon, to cancel a debt. ( Colossians 2vs13-14).

When we wrong someone, we seek his or her forgiveness in order for the relationship to be restored.
It is important to remember that forgiveness is not granted because a person deserves to be forgiven. Instead, it is an act of love, mercy, and grace. If you love someone you will forgive and show mercy and compassion towards one another. ( 1 John 4vs7-18).

How we act towards that person may change. It doesn't mean we will put ourselves back into a harmful situation or that we suddenly accept or approve of the person's continued wrong behaviour. It simply means we release them from the wrong they committed against us.

We forgive them because God forgave us (Ephesians 4vs31-32, Romans 5vs8). What does God say about forgiveness?
The Bible gives much instruction when it comes  to forgiveness,
We forgive because we have been forgiven by God ( Isaiah 43vs25, Ephesians 4vs32). We forgive in obedience to God (Matthew 6vs14-15, Romans 12vs14-18).

We forgive others to gain control of our lives from hurt emotions ( Genesis 4vs 1-8, Genesis 45vs1-8). If you haven't forgiven you do not have full control of your life. The person who offended you will control your life, peace, joy and freedom. We forgive so that we won't become bitter and defile those around us ( Hebrews 12vs 14-15).

What if I feel like forgiving others?

There are times we do not feel like forgiving those who have wronged us. It is easier to act our way into feeling than to feel our way into acting. Having a nature of not forgiving others brings about bitterness and bitterness has been linked to stress -related illnesses by some medical researchers. Some of the diseases caused by unforgiveness are high blood pressure and hypertension, stress and depression, as I mentioned earlier on.

Remember, depression are thinking thoughts that can weigh you out and destroy your health and ego. By forgiving others, we free ourselves spiritually and emotionally.

Forgiveness is an act of our own personal will in obedience and submission, to God's will trusting God to bring emotional healing. ( Proverbs 22:4, Hebrews 4vs16).

How can I help those struggling with forgiveness?

People who have experienced abuse, trauma or loss need time to sort things out and let God bring them to the place of forgiveness in His time. God's timing is always the right time for each individual.
The act of forgiving others is between us and God. The only time we need to forgive a person face to face is at the moment we are asked by that person to forgive them for hurt they have caused.( Matthew 18vs25-35; Psalm 43vs25).

There are things we can do to help those struggling with forgiveness of others. We can support them with encouraging words and listening to them. Taking our time and being gentle with them will allow them to progress through the steps of forgiveness the way God wants them to proceed.
The devil wants to steal your joy and peace, he wants to destroy your vision and future plans, he wants to kill your opportunities, and kill all your hope and purpose for life. ( John 10vs10).

Remember, Satan has no new strategies - he uses the same old tactics to prevent Christians from producing fruit. And because offense prevents God from moving freely in your life, it has become one of Satan's most effective strategies. Whether you realize it or not, hurt and offense are designed specifically to prevent the Holy Spirit from bringing God's blessing in your life ( 2 Corinthians 2vs 11-18, Isaiah 59vs 1-4, 19.

Offense stops the blessing of God. Jesus expressed the benefit of remaining unaffected by offense in order to receive our breakthrough and worship the Lord freely. ( Matthew 11vs4-6).

Offense comes with a purpose and a number of objectives. The devil will bring offense in order to destroy you, your anointing, your marriage, your family, your finances, and your friendships.
Another reason offense comes is to disrupt your communion with God.

Mark 11vs25 says, " And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses".

This verse clearly reveals the connection between forgiving others and being forgiven by
God. Offense will not only produce a barrier between you and God which hinders your prayer life, it will keep you in a constant state of being upset towards the person who has offended you.

Many times, the person with whom you are angry doesn't even realize that they have done something to hurt you. So while you are being eaten up with hurt and unforgiveness, they remain care-free. However, the issue is not whether the hurt was intentional or not, what matters instead is that unforgiveness and offense are not allowed to take root in your life.

The third reason the devil brings offense into your life is to steal the word of God that has been sown in your heart. ( Mark 4vs14-17). After the word of God has been sown in your heart, the devil will immediately bring trials, tribulations, and persecution for one purpose, to steal the word of God before it takes root.

The Greek word "Skandalizo" is not only translated "offend," but also "stumble". That means when someone is offended, there is a stumbling block in their path, prohibiting any advancement.
Although these people receive the word with gladness, they have no root in themselves, (Mark 6vs2-5, Matthew 7vs11).

Unforgiveness is one of the many reasons for offense,  - such as being oversensitive - People who are overly sensitive are easily offended-making everyone nearly feel like they must walk on egg shells, there is also unrealistic expectations -Another person who is easily offended is one with a root of bitterness - falling victim to unrealistic or unfulfilled expectations.

Rebellion -Someone with a spirit of rebellion , who refuses to submit to any form of biblical correction or authority, can succumb to offense. There is also the critical spirit - still, others harbour a critical spirit -finding fault with everyone and everything.

Most people who refuse to forgive or even release the offense, have so much pride that they don't truthfully see themselves.
We need to keep our hearts clean from offense, so that we can serve the Lord freely and joyfully.
( Proverbs 4vs23, Jeremiah 17vs9-10, Psalm 51vs10-17).

A person who keeps an offense in their heart is in prison and lives in a cage because of unforgiveness. Such a person has no freedom and peace.

Let us forgive and forget, as the Lord forgave us and does not remember our past ( Colossians 2vs12-14, Isaiah 43vs25).

In conclusion, I pray that the Holy Spirit, may help us to release everything from our hearts, which may be hindering our prayer life right now, in the name of Jesus - Amen!

May God richly bless you all !!

GOD'S WORD IS TRANSFORMATIVE

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! I am delighted to share the message entitled:" God's Word is Transformative." The word of God is the nutrition and vitamin for our spiritual sustenance and survival. The word of God transforms the thinking and behaviour of all living beings.

It has the power to change the way we think, talk, behave, walk and relate with other people.

What is to transform?
To transform is:-
>To change in form, appearance, or structure, metamorphose.
>To change in condition, nature, or character, convert - like Saul who later changed to Paul, is a good example of a convert who changed
in character and behaviour. ( Acts 9vs1-10).

>To increase or decrease (voltage and current characteristics) as by means of a transformer.
.>To change the form of (a figure, expression etc. ) without in general changing the value.
>To change into another form of energy.
>To undergo a change in form, appearance, or character, become transformed.

What is transformation?

Transformation is:-
>The act or process of transforming.
>The state of being transformed.
>The change in form, appearance, nature, or character.

Therefore, it means that when we talk of transformation or metamorphosis, is a complete change of form, structure or substance or it can also refer to any total change in appearance, character or behaviour, a person , thing or chemical process.

The Bible in Acts 11vs25-26, says Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. When he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. ( It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians)."
( Transformation took place as believers were given a new name).

So people were transformed by the preaching of the word of God and as a result they repented, believed and were born again as new creatures. ( 2 Corinthians 5vs17). The Bible says when we are in Christ we become new creation and all things of the past are passed ad we are transformed to become Christians. ( New Life, New Beginning).

Remember, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. ( Romans 10vs17).
However, it is pertinent to mention that although the word of God is transformative, the process of transformation takes place within a period of time, as people continue to feed on the word of God.

Salvation is a one time experience, but spiritual life is a life time experience.
The word of God if obeyed can bring healing to our bodies. ( Proverbs 4vs23). The word of God can bring deliverance and restoration.( Luke 4vs18vs19, Matthew 4vs23-24).
When the word of God is preached, people hear the word, understand it, accept it and then act on the word as a response to its effectiveness to our lives being transformed and changed.

Jesus in John 15vs 5-7, says " Yes, I am the vine, you are the branches, those who remain in me and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing". Jesus Christ is the word, truth and he is the bread of life, that transforms our lives ( John 6vs35).
Be careful on what you feed your spirit with.

A transformed Christian bears fruits and some of the fruits are love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. However, as the word penetrates our minds and hearts as well as our whole bodies we are able to subject the desires of our flesh, under the power of the Holy Spirit. ( Galatians 5vs16-23).

In Romans 12vs2, the Bible says, "Don't copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you , which is good and pleasing and perfect," ( NLT).

Brethren, there are systems and patterns of this world which destroy God's people, if they are not transformed by the word of God. People of the world have certain behaviour patterns and habits as well as fashions which some Christians are also caught in or trapped by the so called fashion and end up behaving as people of the circular world. The kind of language, behaviour, hair styles and dressing and entertainments, do not befit Christians who claim to be born again. ( Acts 26vs20).

Jesus said although we are in the world we are not of the world as he is not of this world and therefore our character and behaviour must imitate Christ who is the visible image of the invisible God. ( Philippians 2vs5-11). We should  have the mind of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 11vs1).

It is important to note that our minds are a battlefield and we have to renew our minds with the word of God. The Bible says, " We use God's mighty weapon not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that prevents people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will push everyone who remains obedient. ( 2 Corinthians 10vs4-6).

The mind is a battlefield of arguments and strongholds, that prevent or fight against God's word that is meant to transform us from the pattern and systems of this world.

We must continue to feed our spirits and minds with the word  of God. ( Joshua 1vs8, Colossians 3vs16, Matthew 12vs34-37).
The Bible says, " For the word  of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."( Hebrews 4vs12 NLT).

Jesus said, " the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." ( John6vs6vs63 NLT). This means that if the word is spirit, it has the ability to penetrate anywhere inside our bodies and deal with any part of our bodies, bringing transformation to our being. If the body needs healing, deliverance, peace, comfort, spiritual growth and change of behaviour and character the word of God is transformative and can create in us a new person with new character and behaviour.

When we talk of a two-edged sword cutting between soul and spirit, we are referring to the word delivering  your mind and your unborn again spirit, rebellious spirit, by the word. All demonic influences and powers of darkness affecting your lives are totally removed and destroyed.

You must desire and treasure the word of God all the time. Job said, "I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more than daily food' ( Job 23vs12,NLT). It means for the word to totally transform you it must become your daily food. ( Matthew 4vs4). You can as a transformed and totally delivered Christian resist the influence of Satan, if you are well equipped with the word. Desire more of the word  than food!

Psalm 42vs1-2 says, " As a dear longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God". I thirst  for God, God the living God. When can I go and stand before him? ( NLT)

The word of God transforms you into becoming a Christian by behaviour and character. The word of God can transform your family, society, and country at large. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14). The word of God can heal our land and economy.

Your prayer today should be that you must ask God to give you the power to desire more of his word, so that your behaviour and faith can be transformed to a true Christian.

Jesus said God is spirit and those who desire to worship him, must worship in spirit and in truth". ( John 4vs 23-24).

I sense in the spirit right now as I write this message, that there are people who sleep when they are reading the Bible, but when you give the same people a novel they are able to read and finish it without falling asleep. Such people need deliverance and the Holy Spirit to fill them so that they can be transformed and revived.( John 14vs26, John 15vs26, John 16vs13).

In conclusion, I want to say that when you begin to love the Lord with all that is within you, it will be a sign of total rejuvenation, revitalization and re-invigoration and restoration to a true full Christian. ( Mark 12vs30, Psalm 103vs1-6).

Your mind, ears, eyes, tongue, hands, and all other organs within you, need to be totally delivered and transformed ( Galatians 5vs16, Romans 8vs5-11, Colossians 4vs2, Colossians 3vs

May the Lord give you a new heart and put in a new spirit in you. Let the Holy Spirit through the power of God's word take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. May the Lord also put his spirit in you, so that you will follow his decrees and be careful to obey his word, ( Ezekiel 36vs25-27).

Let me end by saying, from today onwards, your focus and priority, must be to seek God's Kingdom and his righteousness and all other things will be given unto you, when you are transformed by his word. ( Matthew 6vs33).

Remember, God's word is transformative!

May God richly bless you.
