CHRIST'S VICTORY ENTRY

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! Here is the word for your meditation and prayer!
The title of my message is:" CHRIST'S VICTORY ENTRY"
The scripture I am going to share marks the beginning of a journey that was going to usher mankind into the supernatural world of physical and spiritual victory and redemption.

Jesus Christ's entry into Jerusalem was seen by the world rulers, Sadduces, Pharisees, kings and other ordinary people as a visit which was targeting to fight a physical war of overthrowing the government of that time, but it was a spiritual war that was meant to establish the kingdom of God and redeem mankind from the bondage of sin.

Although Jesus had been teaching in the synagogues and in the open spaces where He performed many miracles, signs and wonders, they still did not accept Him as the son of God and Messiah who had been sent from heaven to save people from the bondage of sin, which came by one man Adam, and as the salvation was also  by one man Jesus the son of God. ( Romans 3:23, Genesis 3:1-19, Romans 5:6-11, Matthew 4:23-24).

The Bible in Mark: 11. 1-11 says, "And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 2. And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. 4. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. 5. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? 6. And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. 7. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. 8. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 10. Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. 11. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve."

The scripture above says, when Jesus arrived at the towns of Bethphage and Bethany He sent two of his disciples to go ahead and untie a colt( young donkey) that had not been ridden before.
Jesus being the son of God had already seen what was ahead of him. He even knew what was going to befall him ahead.

However, as a man who was on a divine assignment, nothing could stop His God ordained purpose. When the owners of the young colt (donkey) saw them untying it, they were told that Jesus had requested them to do so because he had spoken it and no one would argue.

Why did Jesus ride on a blameless colt( young donkey) ? The reason was that he who knew no sin and had not sinned, and was supposed to remain upright and blameless until he got to be crucified at the cross, because he could not have destroyed mankind's sin on a contaminated body.

The untying of a donkey also symbolizes the freedom of man from the bondage of sin. It also means that it is only Jesus who can untie and deliver us, from demonic oppression and possession. Jesus came to deliver us from the powers of darkness, sickness and diseases.( Colossians 1:13, 1 Peter 2:24)

Furthermore, because Jesus's mission was to reconcile mankind with their God, he had to ride on a donkey which was a symbol of peace and freedom. A donkey is an animal which represents peace and meekness.

Kings and other people of repute, usually ride on a horse, which is regarded as an animal of war and honour.
Those who were waiting to receive him in Jerusalem expected to see him riding on a horse, but it was the opposite.
Let me mention that Jesus had to ride on a young colt (donkey) as a sign of humility, accessibility, meekness and peace.

You don't need money or and other credentials to access Jesus, save for your willing repentant heart, to receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.
Even at such a time as this when the world has lost hope due to Covid-19( Corona virus), we need Jesus to calm the devastating pandemic, heal and cleanse as well as put to an end this virus.

Never before, has the world ground to a halt as a result of a disease which has defied human solutions and all  technological ingenuity and knowledge.
This covid-19, has put us all at par (same level), the rich, the poor, white or black or anything you may mention, we are all now confined in lockdown apartments.

This shows that God is God, and he does not need any assistance or guidance, to do whatever he wants,  any time, anywhere.
The only option we have now is to  call unto the Lord as a united voice the world over, for a lasting solution to this contagious virus.( Jeremiah 33:3)

I just want to say, as we remember Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem, at such a time as this, let us find solace and comfort in the Lord, in that he paid and carried all our sins, diseases,  sufferings, on the cross and ushered us all into the kingdom of God. ( John 19:30, Romans 10:10, Ephesians 6:10).

As I conclude my message, I want to also mention that when Jesus was approaching Jerusalem many people who believed in him, had to lay on the ground some garments and palm leaves, while singing Hossana! Hossana! to the highest!

The laying of garments for Jesus to ride on was a sign of honour and love.
These days kings, rulers and other leaders, walk on red carpets, but during Jesus' time  there were no such material, instead they laid their own garments, as a sign of respect and worship.

Did you know that after Jesus had used the young colt (donkey) to get to Jerusalem, on it's way back the same donkey which was honoured by walking on top of the laid garments, could not do so without Jesus.

This means that, without Jesus you are nothing. You need Jesus to receive honour and respect. You need Jesus to have dignity and recognition.  Every one who saw the young donkey on it's way back, mocked and chased it away, because Jesus was no longer in the equation.

Don't go to church and come out without Jesus, because you still remain the playground of the devil and it's demons.
Accept the Lord Jesus right now, as your personal Saviour and your life will never be the same again.

We all need Jesus in our lives, even at such a time as this.
He says, "Come all who are heavy laden, you shall find rest"( Matthew 11:28-30, Isaiah 53:1-12, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Job 19:25)

Whatever you are facing right now, just surrender everything to the Lord and He shall address it, in the name of Jesus Christ -Amen! ( 1 Peter 5:7-11, Psalm 55:22).

May God richly bless you all!
