Self Examination

Greetings in the name of Jesus. I just want to share about: " Self Examination!" The Bible says, " Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know  ye not your own selves,  how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust ye shall know that we are not reprobates. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. ( 2 Corinthians 13:5-8).

To examine self, is to do a self inspection.
Self introspection. This self examination is aimed at authenticating our genuineness and honestness in our Christian faith. Without this self introspection our christianity may become mere religious rituals, without a meaning and seriousness. In order to experience God's reality in our lives, we must be real ourselves.  Paul in the above scripture reminds us to put our faith to test, so as to prove whether we are not just wasting our time thinking that we are Christ 's disciples and yet we are just simple followers of religious denominations. Remember, reprobates are people that have been long forgotten about or thrown away to waste. The psamist also says, " Examine me, O Lord, and prove me, try my reins and my heart. " ( Psalm 26:2).

Genuineness is inside one's heart and also proved by our works for the Lord and other people.  ( James 2:14-17). Our commitment and dedication to the things of God in our Christian faith must be  put on test or examined to prove our sincerity and truth in worshipping God.  Remember, God is Spirit and those that worship him, must worship in truth and in spirit. ( John 4:23-24). The Bible says, we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. It is only the truth that can set us free and prove our Christian faith, towards God and the Lord Jesus.  ( John 8:31-32).

Our faith is also measured by the word of God.  As you know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. ( Romans 10 :17). Let us live blameless and sinless lives. Paul says, "I pray to God that ye do no evil ...."( 2 Corinthians 13 : 7)  Self-  examination exposes pretenders and cheaters.  It is serious business, aimed at putting us back on track with Christ, as we run our race. " Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye May obtain ." ( 1 Corinthians 9:25-27). We are in a race,  let us run our own race and win.  Let us fight a good fight of  faith,  in order to receive a crown. ( 2Timothy 4:7-8).

Let us self-examine ourselves to see whether our faith is still genuine or we are now reprobates.  "Examine yourself! Lord help us to test and prove our faith and love towards you, our  Master Jesus Christ. Remember, there may be a way of life that seems right in the eyes of man, but the end of it may be a way of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The Bible also says, " Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity " ( Job 31:6).

Examine yourself! As you know;  "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked : who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. ( Jeremiah 17:9-10).

We  need to examine and search our hearts to prove our faith towards God. The heart is deceitful indeed.
One may pretend and yet they are just a fake Christian (like fake bank notes).
The scripture also says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. ( Proverbs 4:23).

The heart is the treasure of all issues of human existence and reality! It is the centre of all physical body operations and human life.
Therefore all issues of human life are hidden in our hearts, which makes the heart to be so critical and important in human existence, including our faith in God. Let us examine our hearts to prove our sincerity and honestness in our faith in God.
Remember, without faith it is impossible to please God, .... ( HEBREWS 11:6).
Examine yourself!
Stay blessed!
