Shalom! I am delighted to share about the Power of Prayer. This is a wide subject that is very critical
in the lives of all Christians. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.
What is Prayer?
> Prayer is talking with God.
>Prayer is communing with God.
>Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.
>Prayer is communing with God.
>Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.
Why do we pray?
>We pray because we depend on him.
>We pray to God because he first loved us, before we even knew him.
>He is the one to be worshipped and reverenced as well as feared.
>We pray because we have needs for life.
>We pray to God because he first loved us, before we even knew him.
>He is the one to be worshipped and reverenced as well as feared.
>We pray because we have needs for life.
How do we pray?
We pray scriptural using the word of God.
>You should therefore know the word of God and quote the word when praying.
>God watches over his word to perform what it promises. ( Psalm 119vs89, Isaiah 55vs11,
Jeremiah 1vs120.
>Meditate on the word whenever you are praying.
>You should therefore know the word of God and quote the word when praying.
>God watches over his word to perform what it promises. ( Psalm 119vs89, Isaiah 55vs11,
Jeremiah 1vs120.
>Meditate on the word whenever you are praying.
When should you pray?
>We pray all the time, regardless of the circumstances.
>We should continually pray, without ceasing. ( Luke 18vs10, 1Tessalonians 5vs17).
>You can follow the Holy Spirit's leading as and when deemed necessary.
>The urge to pray should be as we do when we feel we want to talk to our loved ones.
>Those who love their wives, husbands or children and friends cannot spend a day, without talking or phoning them.
>You should also do the same with your Creator, the most high God.
>We should continually pray, without ceasing. ( Luke 18vs10, 1Tessalonians 5vs17).
>You can follow the Holy Spirit's leading as and when deemed necessary.
>The urge to pray should be as we do when we feel we want to talk to our loved ones.

The nature and Power of Prayer.

Prayer helps to build a relationship with God.
>As we build a relationship with God, we learn to live in a place of contentment, regardless of what is going on around us. We also see beyond the natural sphere, in the spiritual realm
>As we build a relationship with God, we learn to live in a place of contentment, regardless of what is going on around us. We also see beyond the natural sphere, in the spiritual realm
Prayer has no boundaries.

>You can pray with someone who is far away and the result remains the same as if you are praying with someone next to you.

Prayer needs to be combined with a pure heart.

>God is Holy and it is vital to approach the Lord in prayer with a pure heart. ( Matthew 5vs8, Leviticus 20vs7-8, Psalm 51vs10).

>God is Holy and it is vital to approach the Lord in prayer with a pure heart. ( Matthew 5vs8, Leviticus 20vs7-8, Psalm 51vs10).
>God gave us the gift of prayer as means to communicate with him and also receive healing and deliverance, in the midst of our personal struggles.
>Going to God with a pure heart means that your intentions are without guile or bitterness. ( Ephesians 4vs30 -31).
>You cannot go to God to pray because you are angry at your brother or sister and ask the Lord to bring misfortune in that person's life. It is not what God designed prayer to accomplish. ( Romans 12vs14-21).
Prayer needs to be combined with God's word.

>The word of God is truth and it is the basis of our prayers. (John 17vs17).

>God wants us to include his word in our prayers, in order to confirm that we trust his promises and expect him to fulfil them

Prayer reveals God's will.

Concerning the power of prayer, John Wesley a spirit filled man of God, who lived in the 17th century, once said, " It looks like God cannot do anything for mankind unless they ask."
God is limited by our prayer lives and wants us to ask anything and he can do it for us.
God is limited by our prayer lives and wants us to ask anything and he can do it for us.
If we do not ask from God we do not receive anything. ( Matthew 7v7, Jeremiah 33vs3, John 14vs14.)
Remember, I mentioned earlier that prayer is the greatest force on earth, a man called Dr Alexis Carvel, a scientist and Nobel prize winner said, " Prayer is the most powerful form of energy one can generate. It is real as terrestrial gravity".
Charles P. Steinmetz, the electrical wizard, predicted: " Someday the scientists of the world will turn their laboratories over the study of God and prayer..........when this day comes, the world will see more advancement in one generation, than it has in the past generations."
Truly, as Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote: "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dream of'. Prayer is the greatest force on earth!
Scientists and noted men of achievement believed in the power of prayer.
Scientists and noted men of achievement believed in the power of prayer.
Galileo didn't believe that God answers prayer, until he tried praying one day.
"Oh, God I beg you. Enlighten my mind so that I may invent something greater to further human knowledge," he said.
Shortly, God answered him by leading him to the invention of the telescope!
With God you can do the impossible, through the power of prayer. ( James 5vs 17-17, Jeremiah 32vs27).

In 2 Kings 6vs14-23, Elisha demonstrated the power of prayer, by praying and confusing his enemies, the Syrian Army that was after him and the Israelites.
When the Syrian army troops arrived with many chariots and horses to surround the city, Elisha prayed to God so that he could open the eyes of his servant. He opened his spiritual eyes and he looked up and saw that the hillside where Elisha was, there were many horses and chariots of fire.
Remember, as a child of God you are not alone in the spiritual warfare. The commander of the Lord's Army came to Joshua and he could not recognize him ( Joshua 5vs13-15).
Furthermore, it is only when God has opened your spiritual eyes that you can see beyond your natural eye, what God can do for you. God is capable of doing great things.
This was another demonstration of God's power and ability through prayer - Prayer can do anything.
This was another demonstration of God's power and ability through prayer - Prayer can do anything.
Prayer can unlock mysteries and supernatural things which the eye has not seen, ear has not heard and what the heart has not believed, which are things prepared for God's children.( 1 Corinthians 2v9, 2 Kings 6vs17).
In verse 18 of 2 Kings 6, Elisha again prayed, " O Lord, please make them blind, " So the Lord struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked."
>Through prayer God can make your enemy not to see anything wrong about you and fail to recognize you, because of God's glory and power.
After this Elisha went and told the Syrian troops that they had come to the wrong way and wrong city. He asked the army troops to follow him and he led them to the city of Samaria, where the Israel king was.
As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed for the Syrian army's eyes to be opened. Elisha was able to do whatever he wanted, to the Syrian Army through the power of prayer.
However, they did not harm them, instead the Syrian troops were given food and drinks and were freed.
However, they did not harm them, instead the Syrian troops were given food and drinks and were freed.
We should not harm our enemies or revenge, but rather let us offer them good hospitality and feed them. ( Romans 12vs14-21).
This is a good example of the power of prayer, where God has shown us that through prayer, we can declare and decree things to be established. ( Job22vs28-29).

.>Prayer has power to stop wars.
>Prayer has power to confuse your enemies.
>Prayer has power to bring order in a confused situation.
>Prayer has power to calm storms of life.
>Prayer has power to show us what is hidden in the spiritual realm.
>Prayer has power to open blind eyes.
>Prayer has power to confuse your enemies.
>Prayer has power to bring order in a confused situation.
>Prayer has power to calm storms of life.
>Prayer has power to show us what is hidden in the spiritual realm.
>Prayer has power to open blind eyes.
Here, God was able to protect Elisha and the Israelites from being harmed, through the power of prayer.
Elisha made three prayer requests which were immediately answered.
He prayed for God to open his servant's eyes, and also prayed for the Syrian Army to be blinded, as well as the Syrian army's eyes to be opened.
He prayed for God to open his servant's eyes, and also prayed for the Syrian Army to be blinded, as well as the Syrian army's eyes to be opened.
All three prayers were immediately answered.
>You can also pray and receive immediate answers to your prayers.
Whatever things you ask in prayer believe that you have received. ( Mark 11vs24).
>God wants us to pray.
>He desires to reveal himself to us.
>He wants to answer our prayers.
>God wants us to pray.
>He desires to reveal himself to us.
>He wants to answer our prayers.
We can see from the story of Elisha that God responded, when he prayed.
God also revealed himself by manifesting and showing his power after answering his prayers.
God also revealed himself by manifesting and showing his power after answering his prayers.
We hear so much about the power of prayer, that many Christians have become complacent about it.
>In- fact the power of prayer is real.
>God is so intent on answering our prayers, that he has gifted us with a direct path of His heart.
>Jesus promised, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it (John 14vs14).
>This is a promise by God himself through his son Jesus Christ.
When you pray your prayers are heard in heaven and God sends his angels to do the bidding on your behalf.
Prayer brings spiritual help and cultural transformation.
Prayer is not a ritual, it is not just talking to yourself, it is a powerful vehicle for personal spiritual help as well as cultural transformation.
Prayer is not a ritual, it is not just talking to yourself, it is a powerful vehicle for personal spiritual help as well as cultural transformation.
Prayer strengthens us for spiritual warfare. ( 2 Corinthians 10v3-5).
When you pray and commit your concerns to God, you become an awesome threat to the devil's kingdom, because he knows that you will not go down without a fight. (1 John 4vs4).
The Bible says, " Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" ( 1 Corinthians 15vs58).
The Bible says, " Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" ( 1 Corinthians 15vs58).
God recognizes perseverance and rewards those who continue to diligently seek him in prayer ( Hebrews 11vs6, Romans 5vs3-5).
In John 11vs40-42, Jesus prayed to God in verse 42, and said, "I know that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me".
Jesus was surrounded by a crowd of unbelievers and wanted them to see God's power and glory.
Jesus was surrounded by a crowd of unbelievers and wanted them to see God's power and glory.
Jesus demonstrated that as the son of God he could do anything and even raise the dead.
He is the bread of life himself and therefore is able to give life in abundance to all mankind.( John 6vs 35, John 10vs10).
He is the bread of life himself and therefore is able to give life in abundance to all mankind.( John 6vs 35, John 10vs10).
We are witnessing the power of prayer after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
>Prayer power can raise anything that is dead in your life.
>Your collapsing marriage or relationship can be restored and resurrected again.
> Your business can be resurrected in the name of Jesus.
>Everything concerning your life can be resurrected through the power of prayer.
Prayer can remove stones that had been rolled upon your lives.
This scripture also teaches us to prepare our hearts by removing stones that may block our blessings and prayers.
Prepare your heart and mind to receive a breakthrough, through prayer. ( Isaiah 59vs1-3, Ezekiel 36vs26-27).
Prepare your heart and mind to receive a breakthrough, through prayer. ( Isaiah 59vs1-3, Ezekiel 36vs26-27).
People should remove bitterness, anger, un-forgiveness and hatred, so that you receive answers to your prayers. ( Ephesians 4vs30-32, Mark 11vs25-26).
Remember, you cannot access powerful prayer by using "magic formulas".
>Our prayers being answered is not based on eloquence of our prayers.
>We do not have to use certain words or phrases to get God to answer our prayers.
> All you have to do is ask God for help using his word. ( Psalm 107vs20-21, 1 John 5vs14-15).
The power of prayer should never be underestimated, because it draws on the glory and might of the infinitely powerful God of the Universe.
Prayer is the key that unlocks the kingdom of heaven.
It pulls up the sluice gates and releases from within immense power and resourcefulness. (Matthew 16vs19).
In Matthew 16vs19, the Bible says, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be loosed in heaven".
We should know that Jesus is the key for unlocking all doors that may be closed in our lives. (John 16vs23-24, Revelations 3vs7-8).
The power of prayer cannot be controlled or hindered by any other force, because it is the most powerful force under heaven.
The power of prayer cannot be controlled or hindered by any other force, because it is the most powerful force under heaven.
Last but not least , prayer opens our eyes to reality and enables us to see things in their true perspective.
>It gives new values to life and gradually transports an individual into a new World and initiates him into a New order ( Isaiah 43vs18-19, Isaiah 45vs1-3).
>It gives new values to life and gradually transports an individual into a new World and initiates him into a New order ( Isaiah 43vs18-19, Isaiah 45vs1-3).
With the life of prayer a person eventually rises into cosmic awareness and sees the hidden hand of God working out his will and his purpose, which otherwise remains a sealed book, too subtle for the average man to pierce through and peep into.
The more this inner contact is established the more Godhead is imbibed by the spirit.
Finally, you must establish many prayer altars as a child of God, such as:-
>Personal prayer altar, for individual use.
>Family prayer altar, for family use.
>Corporate prayer Altar, for the whole body of Christ's use.
>International prayer Altar, through the use of the Social media and the Internet.
