HUMILITY AND PERSISTENCE ARE KEY TO ACCESSING OUR BREAKTHROUGH
SHALOM! I just want to start by mentioning that humility and persistence, enable us as Christians to achieve our goals and purpose for life. We should always be humble and patient in our Christian walk, in order to attract God's attention and sympathy.
In Matthew 15vs 22-28, we read the story of a Canaanite woman who desperately needed deliverance and miraculous healing for her daughter, who had suffered for a long time and she humbly approached Jesus to deliver her.
Let me hasten to say that, until you react, God can't act. Until you act, God can't react. Remember, communication is a two way process, and as we pray and commune with God, He responds to our approach in prayer.
The Canaanite woman knew and understood that she was an outsider, who represented a gentile Church.
She knew she didn't deserve the mercy of Jesus as an outsider, but grace qualified her. The woman said to herself I don't deserve it, but I will still cry out for your help Master.
The Bible says, " Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." ( Matthew 15vs25-27. What a sign of humility expressed here! Remember, if you don't cry out and persist in life, you will suffer in silence and miss out on your blessings. ( Mark 10vs 46-52). Blind Bartimaeus knew the secret, and cried out to Jesus for mercy on him. Jesus healed him and immediately,
he received his sight.
However, the Canaanite woman was desperate in a positive way.
She did not care about the insult of being called a dog, all she wanted was for her child to be delivered.
How many insults or gossips have you heard and you decided not to go to church. Jesus here is the church of God. you have to be humble and persevere, if you are to come out from the situation which you have been in for a long time.
The Canaanite woman understood that the Lord's mercy, endures for ever and he came for the redemption of us sinners. She said, even though I am a sinner, I am still your daughter, so temper justice with mercy.
" We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.". ( 2 Corinthians 4vs8-9).
Jesus heard her language and said you are not a dog, because a dog does not speak. So rise up and get your miracle. " I say rise up right now and shake off your dust, as you receive your healing, deliverance and breakthrough." ( Isaiah 51vs 1-3).
People of God, we need to be humble and persistent in our faith, in order to access our healing and deliverance. The attitude that we go before God with, is what activates God to respond to our needs and desires, as well as our prayer requests. ( Luke 18vs1-8, Psalm 37vs4, Psalm 20vs4-7). You must not give up easily in your faith in God and prayer life. The woman in Luke 18 vs3-6, continued to plead her case before the unjust Judge, until she was granted her request by the judge. It is the same with us, let us persistently go before God, with whatever we need, we shall certainly access our breakthrough.
Remember, the scripture also says, "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life." (Proverbs 22vs4).
So we should always approach God's throne with humility and a submissive spirit. God looks as our hearts and sincerity, as we go before him. ( Psalm 51vs10, 17, Hebrews 4vs16). The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, Oh! God".
As I mentioned earlier, God looks at your heart and attitude. Jesus was touched by the woman's humility and was declared to be a woman of great faith, and humility.
If you want to succeed in life, you must be humble, persistent, obedient and faithful all the time. ( James 4vs10, Hebrews 11vs6).
Just remain faithful and humble, while doing good, and the will of God, the Lord will reward you in due season. ( Galatians 6vs 9-10; Hebrews 6vs10).
God bless you all!

The Power of Prayer.
Shalom! I am delighted to share about the Power of Prayer. This is a wide subject that is very critical
in the lives of all Christians. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.
What is Prayer?
> Prayer is talking with God.
>Prayer is communing with God.
>Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.
>Prayer is communing with God.
>Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.
Why do we pray?
>We pray because we depend on him.
>We pray to God because he first loved us, before we even knew him.
>He is the one to be worshipped and reverenced as well as feared.
>We pray because we have needs for life.
>We pray to God because he first loved us, before we even knew him.
>He is the one to be worshipped and reverenced as well as feared.
>We pray because we have needs for life.
How do we pray?
We pray scriptural using the word of God.
>You should therefore know the word of God and quote the word when praying.
>God watches over his word to perform what it promises. ( Psalm 119vs89, Isaiah 55vs11,
Jeremiah 1vs120.
>Meditate on the word whenever you are praying.
>You should therefore know the word of God and quote the word when praying.
>God watches over his word to perform what it promises. ( Psalm 119vs89, Isaiah 55vs11,
Jeremiah 1vs120.
>Meditate on the word whenever you are praying.
When should you pray?
>We pray all the time, regardless of the circumstances.
>We should continually pray, without ceasing. ( Luke 18vs10, 1Tessalonians 5vs17).
>You can follow the Holy Spirit's leading as and when deemed necessary.
>The urge to pray should be as we do when we feel we want to talk to our loved ones.
>Those who love their wives, husbands or children and friends cannot spend a day, without talking or phoning them.
>You should also do the same with your Creator, the most high God.
The nature and Power of Prayer.

Prayer helps to build a relationship with God.
>As we build a relationship with God, we learn to live in a place of contentment, regardless of what is going on around us. We also see beyond the natural sphere, in the spiritual realm
>As we build a relationship with God, we learn to live in a place of contentment, regardless of what is going on around us. We also see beyond the natural sphere, in the spiritual realm
Prayer has no boundaries.

>You can pray with someone who is far away and the result remains the same as if you are praying with someone next to you.

Prayer needs to be combined with a pure heart.

>God is Holy and it is vital to approach the Lord in prayer with a pure heart. ( Matthew 5vs8, Leviticus 20vs7-8, Psalm 51vs10).

>God is Holy and it is vital to approach the Lord in prayer with a pure heart. ( Matthew 5vs8, Leviticus 20vs7-8, Psalm 51vs10).
>God gave us the gift of prayer as means to communicate with him and also receive healing and deliverance, in the midst of our personal struggles.
>Going to God with a pure heart means that your intentions are without guile or bitterness. ( Ephesians 4vs30 -31).
>You cannot go to God to pray because you are angry at your brother or sister and ask the Lord to bring misfortune in that person's life. It is not what God designed prayer to accomplish. ( Romans 12vs14-21).
Prayer needs to be combined with God's word.

>The word of God is truth and it is the basis of our prayers. (John 17vs17).

Prayer reveals God's will.

>As we learn to talk with God, we also find out what we are meant to be

>As we learn to talk with God, we also find out what we are meant to be
and do in our lives.
Concerning the power of prayer, John Wesley a spirit filled man of God, who lived in the 17th century, once said, " It looks like God cannot do anything for mankind unless they ask."
God is limited by our prayer lives and wants us to ask anything and he can do it for us.
God is limited by our prayer lives and wants us to ask anything and he can do it for us.
If we do not ask from God we do not receive anything. ( Matthew 7v7, Jeremiah 33vs3, John 14vs14.)
Remember, I mentioned earlier that prayer is the greatest force on earth, a man called Dr Alexis Carvel, a scientist and Nobel prize winner said, " Prayer is the most powerful form of energy one can generate. It is real as terrestrial gravity".
Charles P. Steinmetz, the electrical wizard, predicted: " Someday the scientists of the world will turn their laboratories over the study of God and prayer..........when this day comes, the world will see more advancement in one generation, than it has in the past generations."
Truly, as Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote: "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dream of'. Prayer is the greatest force on earth!
Scientists and noted men of achievement believed in the power of prayer.
Scientists and noted men of achievement believed in the power of prayer.
Galileo didn't believe that God answers prayer, until he tried praying one day.
"Oh, God I beg you. Enlighten my mind so that I may invent something greater to further human knowledge," he said.
Shortly, God answered him by leading him to the invention of the telescope!
With God you can do the impossible, through the power of prayer. ( James 5vs 17-17, Jeremiah 32vs27).

Shortly, God answered him by leading him to the invention of the telescope!
With God you can do the impossible, through the power of prayer. ( James 5vs 17-17, Jeremiah 32vs27).
In 2 Kings 6vs14-23, Elisha demonstrated the power of prayer, by praying and confusing his enemies, the Syrian Army that was after him and the Israelites.
When the Syrian army troops arrived with many chariots and horses to surround the city, Elisha prayed to God so that he could open the eyes of his servant. He opened his spiritual eyes and he looked up and saw that the hillside where Elisha was, there were many horses and chariots of fire.
Remember, as a child of God you are not alone in the spiritual warfare. The commander of the Lord's Army came to Joshua and he could not recognize him ( Joshua 5vs13-15).
Furthermore, it is only when God has opened your spiritual eyes that you can see beyond your natural eye, what God can do for you. God is capable of doing great things.
This was another demonstration of God's power and ability through prayer - Prayer can do anything.
This was another demonstration of God's power and ability through prayer - Prayer can do anything.
Prayer can unlock mysteries and supernatural things which the eye has not seen, ear has not heard and what the heart has not believed, which are things prepared for God's children.( 1 Corinthians 2v9, 2 Kings 6vs17).
In verse 18 of 2 Kings 6, Elisha again prayed, " O Lord, please make them blind, " So the Lord struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked."
>Through prayer God can make your enemy not to see anything wrong about you and fail to recognize you, because of God's glory and power.
After this Elisha went and told the Syrian troops that they had come to the wrong way and wrong city. He asked the army troops to follow him and he led them to the city of Samaria, where the Israel king was.
As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed for the Syrian army's eyes to be opened. Elisha was able to do whatever he wanted, to the Syrian Army through the power of prayer.
However, they did not harm them, instead the Syrian troops were given food and drinks and were freed.
However, they did not harm them, instead the Syrian troops were given food and drinks and were freed.
We should not harm our enemies or revenge, but rather let us offer them good hospitality and feed them. ( Romans 12vs14-21).
This is a good example of the power of prayer, where God has shown us that through prayer, we can declare and decree things to be established. ( Job22vs28-29).
This is a good example of the power of prayer, where God has shown us that through prayer, we can declare and decree things to be established. ( Job22vs28-29).
.>Prayer has power to stop wars.
>Prayer has power to confuse your enemies.
>Prayer has power to bring order in a confused situation.
>Prayer has power to calm storms of life.
>Prayer has power to show us what is hidden in the spiritual realm.
>Prayer has power to open blind eyes.
>Prayer has power to confuse your enemies.
>Prayer has power to bring order in a confused situation.
>Prayer has power to calm storms of life.
>Prayer has power to show us what is hidden in the spiritual realm.
>Prayer has power to open blind eyes.
Here, God was able to protect Elisha and the Israelites from being harmed, through the power of prayer.
Elisha made three prayer requests which were immediately answered.
He prayed for God to open his servant's eyes, and also prayed for the Syrian Army to be blinded, as well as the Syrian army's eyes to be opened.
He prayed for God to open his servant's eyes, and also prayed for the Syrian Army to be blinded, as well as the Syrian army's eyes to be opened.
All three prayers were immediately answered.
>You can also pray and receive immediate answers to your prayers.
Whatever things you ask in prayer believe that you have received. ( Mark 11vs24).
>God wants us to pray.
>He desires to reveal himself to us.
>He wants to answer our prayers.
>God wants us to pray.
>He desires to reveal himself to us.
>He wants to answer our prayers.
We can see from the story of Elisha that God responded, when he prayed.
God also revealed himself by manifesting and showing his power after answering his prayers.
God also revealed himself by manifesting and showing his power after answering his prayers.
We hear so much about the power of prayer, that many Christians have become complacent about it.
>In- fact the power of prayer is real.
>God is so intent on answering our prayers, that he has gifted us with a direct path of His heart.
>Jesus promised, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it (John 14vs14).
>This is a promise by God himself through his son Jesus Christ.
When you pray your prayers are heard in heaven and God sends his angels to do the bidding on your behalf.
Prayer brings spiritual help and cultural transformation.
Prayer is not a ritual, it is not just talking to yourself, it is a powerful vehicle for personal spiritual help as well as cultural transformation.
Prayer is not a ritual, it is not just talking to yourself, it is a powerful vehicle for personal spiritual help as well as cultural transformation.
Prayer strengthens us for spiritual warfare. ( 2 Corinthians 10v3-5).
When you pray and commit your concerns to God, you become an awesome threat to the devil's kingdom, because he knows that you will not go down without a fight. (1 John 4vs4).
The Bible says, " Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" ( 1 Corinthians 15vs58).
The Bible says, " Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" ( 1 Corinthians 15vs58).
God recognizes perseverance and rewards those who continue to diligently seek him in prayer ( Hebrews 11vs6, Romans 5vs3-5).
In John 11vs40-42, Jesus prayed to God in verse 42, and said, "I know that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me".
Jesus was surrounded by a crowd of unbelievers and wanted them to see God's power and glory.
Jesus was surrounded by a crowd of unbelievers and wanted them to see God's power and glory.
Jesus demonstrated that as the son of God he could do anything and even raise the dead.
He is the bread of life himself and therefore is able to give life in abundance to all mankind.( John 6vs 35, John 10vs10).
He is the bread of life himself and therefore is able to give life in abundance to all mankind.( John 6vs 35, John 10vs10).
We are witnessing the power of prayer after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
>Prayer power can raise anything that is dead in your life.
>Your collapsing marriage or relationship can be restored and resurrected again.
> Your business can be resurrected in the name of Jesus.
>Everything concerning your life can be resurrected through the power of prayer.
Prayer can remove stones that had been rolled upon your lives.
This scripture also teaches us to prepare our hearts by removing stones that may block our blessings and prayers.
Prepare your heart and mind to receive a breakthrough, through prayer. ( Isaiah 59vs1-3, Ezekiel 36vs26-27).
Prepare your heart and mind to receive a breakthrough, through prayer. ( Isaiah 59vs1-3, Ezekiel 36vs26-27).
People should remove bitterness, anger, un-forgiveness and hatred, so that you receive answers to your prayers. ( Ephesians 4vs30-32, Mark 11vs25-26).
Remember, you cannot access powerful prayer by using "magic formulas".
>Our prayers being answered is not based on eloquence of our prayers.
>We do not have to use certain words or phrases to get God to answer our prayers.
> All you have to do is ask God for help using his word. ( Psalm 107vs20-21, 1 John 5vs14-15).
The power of prayer should never be underestimated, because it draws on the glory and might of the infinitely powerful God of the Universe.
Prayer is the key that unlocks the kingdom of heaven.
It pulls up the sluice gates and releases from within immense power and resourcefulness. (Matthew 16vs19).
In Matthew 16vs19, the Bible says, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be loosed in heaven".
We should know that Jesus is the key for unlocking all doors that may be closed in our lives. (John 16vs23-24, Revelations 3vs7-8).
The power of prayer cannot be controlled or hindered by any other force, because it is the most powerful force under heaven.
The power of prayer cannot be controlled or hindered by any other force, because it is the most powerful force under heaven.
Last but not least , prayer opens our eyes to reality and enables us to see things in their true perspective.
>It gives new values to life and gradually transports an individual into a new World and initiates him into a New order ( Isaiah 43vs18-19, Isaiah 45vs1-3).
>It gives new values to life and gradually transports an individual into a new World and initiates him into a New order ( Isaiah 43vs18-19, Isaiah 45vs1-3).
With the life of prayer a person eventually rises into cosmic awareness and sees the hidden hand of God working out his will and his purpose, which otherwise remains a sealed book, too subtle for the average man to pierce through and peep into.
The more this inner contact is established the more Godhead is imbibed by the spirit.
Finally, you must establish many prayer altars as a child of God, such as:-
>Personal prayer altar, for individual use.
>Family prayer altar, for family use.
>Corporate prayer Altar, for the whole body of Christ's use.
>International prayer Altar, through the use of the Social media and the Internet.
>Personal prayer altar, for individual use.
>Family prayer altar, for family use.
>Corporate prayer Altar, for the whole body of Christ's use.
>International prayer Altar, through the use of the Social media and the Internet.
Stay connected to God!
Pray without ceasing ( 1Thessalonians 5vs17).
Pray and do not give up or faint ( Luke 18vs1).
Pray without ceasing ( 1Thessalonians 5vs17).
Pray and do not give up or faint ( Luke 18vs1).
Depend on the power of prayer to survive and overcome storms of life.
With God all things are possible!
With God all things are possible!
May God richly bless you all.

Desperate, but Persistent
SHALOM FAMILY OF GOD!I am delighted to share a message entitled "Desperate, but Persistent."
I would like to start by explaining the meaning of desperate. Desperate means to be reckless or dangerous because of despair or urgency. It is having an urgent need or desire. The word persistent is persisting, especially in spite of opposition; persevering, lasting or enduring. The scripture reference is [ 1Samuel 1 vs 4 -28] about the story of a woman called Hannah. The story of Hannah depicts a desperate woman who was persistent in prayer and was determined to achieve what she needed in her life.
Hannah prayed a desperate prayer concerning the barrenness of her womb . The Bible says Hannah wept. She poured out her soul before the Lord. Her heart was grieving, she was bitter of soul, provoked and of a sorrowful spirit.
There are times as a Christian when you should be bitter and aggressive in your prayer life as you pray without ceasing in order to receive answers to your prayers. Pray until something happens.
Although, Hannah was desperate in her barrenness situation, she did not compromise her faith in God. Some people when they are in desperate situations, end up settling for a half a loaf or substandard results as answers to their prayers. They console themselves by the common saying, which says, "Half a loaf is better than nothing." Remember with God there is no half a loaf, you should go for the best always.
You should not despair or compromise in your prayer requests. Hannah was even mocked as they thought she was drunk while praying a silent prayer and only moved her lips, and was perceived as being drunk.
Hannah was persistent in prayer and as a child of God you are supposed to be persistent in your faith.
Persistence requires perseverance and patience, which are some of the fruits of the spirit.
The Bible in Romans 5 vs 3-5, says 'And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience and hope and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Hannah had suffered humiliation from Peninnah, but she remained persistent, patient and hopeful to God. She knew that God at the appointed time was going to answer her prayers and bless her with a child.(Habakuk 2vs 3).
You become an experienced Christian if you persevere and be prepared to suffer and endure in your Christian walk as a child of God. There are times when it may appear as if God is silent, but if you persevere and remain focussed in your faith, believing God all the time, he will never disappoint you.
We develop fruits of the spirit if we read the Bible and believe God's word and we are strengthened in our faith. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. (Galatians 5 vs 22-23). These fruits of the spirit help us to remain in our Christian walk.
Abraham, although he was influenced to be intimate with his maid Hagar, he was a man of faith, who was later named to be the Father of faith in the Bible ( Romans 4 vs 17 -24). Even Hannah who lived at a time when there was no baptism of the Holy Spirit, had faith in God as she remained steadfast and persistent in her prayer life.
There are people who end up committing sins as a way of trying to please their husbands, wives or partners and even other people, because of desperation and lack of patience. Just wait upon the Lord. ( Isaiah 40vs28 -31). But Hannah was not one of those who compromised their faith, and end up being called reprobates. ( 2 Corinthians 13 vs 5-6. Reprobates are people that have failed in their faith and are cast away or rejected by God.
Don't be one of such people. Even Abraham the father of faith, despite having been promised by God that he was going to be father of all Nations, he compromised in his faith by marrying Hagar and she conceived a child who was named Ishmael. He was influenced and persuaded by his wife Sarah to marry Hagar and he agreed. This is the same issue with Adam who was also made to commit sin by his wife Eve and ate the forbidden fruit. Some men compromise their faith and integrity by wanting
to please their wives.
Ahab was influenced by Jerzebel his wife to kill Naboth, in order to gain or benefit by repossessing Naboth's fertile land.
So brethren, I persuade you by the mercies of God that you remain faithful and persistent in your Christian faith and prayer life, so that you may not promote the devil's interests.
Sometimes people or Christians end up sinning, because of jealous, greedy and competition. If Hannah had succumbed to the pressure of mocking and had focused on wanting to please her husband, she would have compromised her faith and sought for a short cut in her desperate need for a child. But thank God that she remained persistent and focused in her prayer requests, because she knew what she believed God for in her prayer.
Desperation can lead to impatience and doubt, which could deter or hinder a person from receiving one's blessings.
We should strive to be patient and wait upon the Lord all the time.(Lamentations 3 vs22-27). Without faith it is impossible to please God. ( Hebrews 11 vs 6).
In the scripture in 1 Samuel 1 vs 5, Elkanah loved Hannah so much, although she was barren. Men should learn to love their wives, despite the condition they may be in.
Love is a fruit of the Spirit which must be practiced. ( 1 Corinthians 13 vs 4 -8).
When you love someone you do not just tell them that you love them, but you must show them, him or her how you love him, her or them.
Elkanah demonstrated his love for Hannah by giving her a worthy portion. When Hannah was provoked by Peninnah, she wept and did not eat. People of God at times we need to be provoked in the spirit and fast by abstaining from eating anything, in order to pray a fervent prayer which produces results. ( James 5 vs 15 - 17).
Persevere and continue in prayer, do not allow anyone to discourage you from praying.
Eli thought that Hannah was drunk and said put away thy wine from thee. ( 1 Samuel 1 vs 14 -15) Wine represents the Holy Spirit, that we should always be filled with the Holy Spirit and pray persistently or continually. ( Ephesians 5 vs 16 -19).
> Desperate people are not deterred by anything as they will always press on to access their blessings or breakthroughs.
>Desperate people are serious people who are determined to get or achieve whatever they want.
>Desperate people have an urgent need or desire in their lives and will not wait to be told how to pray or worship.
>Desperate people are dangerous in prayer and no demon or barrier will stop them from achieving
anything in prayer.
>Desperate people are extremists who will rise above limitations.
>Desperate people are prepared to endure and suffer for what they believe God for, in their Christian walk.
>Desperate people are consistent in their faith and belief in God, as well as their prayer life. They constantly adhere to the same principles and course.
Hannah in her barrenness was determined to have a baby and could not waver in her faith.
( James 1vs6-8).
If today you are barren, even in your finances, spiritual life or marriage and you need a breakthrough, you can be delivered from that situation in the name of Jesus. ( Joshua 1vs8, Deuteronomy 8vs18).
Remember, God gives us the power to make wealth and what you need is wisdom and knowledge from the word of God, so that you can gain ideas to create strategies and concepts for developing a viable business plan.
Desperate people are prepared to learn and gain the much needed knowledge for empowerment and success in business.
Finally, as I conclude this message, I would like to mention one story in the Bible of a desperate person who desired to be healed by Jesus.
Desperate people are determined to remove all barriers, in order to access their deliverance.
In Mark 2vs1-7, the story of a man who had been lame and paralysed for a long time, was taken through the roof in order to access Jesus. He immediately received his divine healing.
The people who carried him were determined to take him to Jesus, by uncovering the roof and broke it and let the sick man on the bed to Jesus for healing. There are times in life, when you have to break religious formalities and barriers, in order to get want you want.
Whatever, challenges and problems you are facing in your desperate situation, be persistent in prayer like Hannah , until you receive your breakthrough. Pray without ceasing! ( 1Thessalonians 5;17, Luke 18:1, Ephesians 6:18.
May God richly bless you!

Self Examination
Greetings in the name of Jesus. I just want to share about: " Self Examination!" The Bible says, " Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust ye shall know that we are not reprobates. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. ( 2 Corinthians 13:5-8).
To examine self, is to do a self inspection.
To examine self, is to do a self inspection.
Self introspection. This self examination is aimed at authenticating our genuineness and honestness in our Christian faith. Without this self introspection our christianity may become mere religious rituals, without a meaning and seriousness. In order to experience God's reality in our lives, we must be real ourselves. Paul in the above scripture reminds us to put our faith to test, so as to prove whether we are not just wasting our time thinking that we are Christ 's disciples and yet we are just simple followers of religious denominations. Remember, reprobates are people that have been long forgotten about or thrown away to waste. The psamist also says, " Examine me, O Lord, and prove me, try my reins and my heart. " ( Psalm 26:2).
Genuineness is inside one's heart and also proved by our works for the Lord and other people. ( James 2:14-17). Our commitment and dedication to the things of God in our Christian faith must be put on test or examined to prove our sincerity and truth in worshipping God. Remember, God is Spirit and those that worship him, must worship in truth and in spirit. ( John 4:23-24). The Bible says, we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. It is only the truth that can set us free and prove our Christian faith, towards God and the Lord Jesus. ( John 8:31-32).
Our faith is also measured by the word of God. As you know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. ( Romans 10 :17). Let us live blameless and sinless lives. Paul says, "I pray to God that ye do no evil ...."( 2 Corinthians 13 : 7) Self- examination exposes pretenders and cheaters. It is serious business, aimed at putting us back on track with Christ, as we run our race. " Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye May obtain ." ( 1 Corinthians 9:25-27). We are in a race, let us run our own race and win. Let us fight a good fight of faith, in order to receive a crown. ( 2Timothy 4:7-8).
Let us self-examine ourselves to see whether our faith is still genuine or we are now reprobates. "Examine yourself! Lord help us to test and prove our faith and love towards you, our Master Jesus Christ. Remember, there may be a way of life that seems right in the eyes of man, but the end of it may be a way of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The Bible also says, " Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity " ( Job 31:6).
Examine yourself! As you know; "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked : who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. ( Jeremiah 17:9-10).
We need to examine and search our hearts to prove our faith towards God. The heart is deceitful indeed.
One may pretend and yet they are just a fake Christian (like fake bank notes).
The scripture also says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. ( Proverbs 4:23).
The heart is the treasure of all issues of human existence and reality! It is the centre of all physical body operations and human life.
Therefore all issues of human life are hidden in our hearts, which makes the heart to be so critical and important in human existence, including our faith in God. Let us examine our hearts to prove our sincerity and honestness in our faith in God.
Remember, without faith it is impossible to please God, .... ( HEBREWS 11:6).
Examine yourself!
