PLAYING BY GOD'S RULES

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. Here is the word for your meditation and prayer! I am delighted to share the word of hope and encouragement at such a time as this. The title of my message is:"PLAYING BY GOD'S RULES" The scripture we are going to share below from 1 Peter 5:7 talks about casting our cares upon the Lord. Casting is not always easy, but it's time to start practicing. Of course, the moment we start casting our cares on the Lord, the devil is going to show up the strongest. Notice that right after Peter said, in The Amplified Bible in 1 Peter 5:7-8,
[7]"Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.]
[8]Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour." When you start casting, you better watch out for the enemy, because he will show up and try to stop you from casting your cares upon the Lord. He wants you to keep carrying that burden of worry and anxiety. ( Philippians 4:6-7)     I can see the conversation going a little something like this: You say, " Lord, I'm casting my care upon You." The devil brings a situation back to your mind that you need to worry about, saying, "What are you going to do now? Your job is being eliminated; what are you going to do now?" You continue in faith, " I am casting my care upon the Lord." The devil says, "You don't have enough money to pay your bills." What are you going to do now?" You keep saying, "I h've cast the care of that on the Lord. He cares about my finances, so I am not worried. His word says that all my needs are met according to His riches in glory( Philippians 4:19)
The Amplified Bible in Psalm 55:22 says,
[22]"Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail). [I Pet. 5:7.]" So casting your cares upon the Lord is a necessity, if you have to resist and oppose the devil, and not play by his rules. Always play by God's rules.
The Amplified Bible in Philippians 4:19 says,
[19]"And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." The above scripture once again clearly confirms that whatever you need or desire, just cast it upon the Lord and He will supply all your needs. The devil tries another tactic, saying, "Your body is racked with pain. What are you going to do?" You counter again, " I'm casting my care upon the Lord. The Amplified Bible in 1 Peter 2:24 says,
[24]"He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed." The scripture here states that I have been healed by the stripes of Jesus. I am not worried or anxious about my body any longer. The Lord is taking care of that for me." Do you get it? We are in the game of life, but we don't have to play by the devil's rules. We play by God's rules. And God's rules say to cast our cares upon the Lord.
The Amplified Bible in Jeremiah 32:27 says,
[27]"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?" As long as God is on your side there is nothing that He cannot do for you, because nothing is too hard for God.
The Amplified Bible in Jeremiah 33:3 says,
[3]"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)." Whatever, you need cast it upon the Lord in prayer and He will answer you. You have noticed and observed that the moment you start trusting God, and casting all your cares on Him, the devil also pounces on, trying to distract and discourage you from trusting God. But no matter what the devil may try, don't play by his rules, play by God's rules. Resist the devil he will flee from you.( 1 Peter 5:9, James 4:7) Don't be surprised if you face more tribulations and trials after a month of prayer and fasting, it's the devil trying to discourage you, so that you play by his rules. However, there are no trials which you cannot overcome, as long as God is on your side.(1 Corinthians 10:13; John 16:33, Roman's 8:31-32) Don't play by the devil's rules! "Play by God's rules!"

May God richly bless you!
