Shalom! I am pleased to share a message titled: " Defeating a Defeated Enemy". It is important that we allow the Heavenly Father to be our Best Friend. It is also important that we read the Word of God, because if we are going to ask for things "according to His will," we need to know what His will is. And if we are going to keep our mind in peace, we need to keep our mind on the Word.
The Bible says, " And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." ( 1 John 5vs14-15.
There are many scriptures in the Bible on the subject of peace. Find those scriptures, read them, take them to heart, and think about them throughout the day, and they will give you peace. The Bible says, " Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Proverbs 4:23). It is also important that we pray, spending time talking to God on regular basis. Paul in Ephesians 6:18, says, " Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. "
And if we want to live a truly peaceful life, we must also guard our mind and control our thought life. It is important that we do something about our thoughts. The mind can be a powerful ally or awesome enemy. God has said our mind will stay in perfect peace if we will keep our mind ( thoughts) on the Lord. The Bible says, " Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee" ( Isaih 26:3).
The enemy is out to get you. According to John 10:10, He is out to steal from you, to kill you, and to destroy you. First Peter 5:8 says, " Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
The scripture does not say that Satan is going to devour you. It says he is seeking for someone he may devour. In other words , He is searching for people who will allow him to devour them. What does First Peter 5:7 say? It says, " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." We don't need to cast just part of our care on the Lord. This verse says to cast all of it on Him.
Remember, Satan specializes in worry. He specializes in fear. He also specializes in anxiety, confusion and doubt. Those are his specialities. And he will bring those to your mind if you allow him to do so.
The devil is not a gentleman like the Holy Spirit. If you crack the door open just a little bit, the devil will kick it wide open. And your mind is the bull's eye of Satan's target. That is why the Bible says, we are not to give place to the devil ( Ephesians 4:27). Don't allow him to dominate your thought life.
If you allow yourself to think negative thoughts, you will be defeated. If you allow yourself to worry, you will be defeated. If you allow yourself to be in fear, you will be defeated. You cannot think defeat and expect victory. You cannot think sickness and expect health. You cannot think poverty and expect wealth.
Whatever you allow yourself to think on will become what you expect. And that will be exactly what you receive. " As the man thinketh, so is he, ....." ( Proverbs 23:7). You can be held captive, by your mind ( thoughts) ( 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). I know we live in a negative society. However, let us guard against the " Battlefield of the Mind," by thinking positively all the time. We need to constantly renew our minds with the word of God (Romans 12vs2).
Just think about the news you watch daily, it is not "news" unless it is bad. I can also confirm it as a media practioner myself that, " A scoop" is usually something which is negative or bad. That is what makes "news" and will make an impact and a good " Agenda setting story!" So it is same with negative thoughts or thinking, it affects one' s life.
The good that happens is no longer considered newsworthy. Even in the Christian world, we are quicker to tell the bad things that have happened rather than the good things
For example you rarely see someone rush up to you at church and say, " Did you hear about Preacher So- and -so? Their marriage is so strong! They are really great examples to the Body of Christ." No, it is just the opposite that most people are so quick to talk about.
Satan constantly bombards our minds with negative thoughts. He is constantly trying to confuse us and keep us from the peace that we can experience with God.
And Satan will succeed unless we replace the negative thoughts with positive thoughts from God's Word. ( Joshua 1:8, PHILLIPIANS 4:6-7).
Let us defeat the defeated enemy, by thinking positively and speaking positively, all the time! ( Proverbs 18:21 ). "..........
......Let the weak say, I am strong." ( Joel 3:10).
......Let the weak say, I am strong." ( Joel 3:10).
THINK POSITIVELY AND SPEAK POSITIVELY, TO DEFEAT THE DEVIL!
May God bless and protect you all the time.

So true..the quickest way to end a conversation is for tou to speak positively about ones life.Somehow people lose interest and will only cpntinue conversing with someone who makes them feel better about themselves i.e one who continously laments.
ReplyDeleteTrue indeed. Thank you for taking time to read the message.
ReplyDeleteThe saddest thing is most Christians do not take "tightening their mental belts" and "guarding of the heart with diligence" seriously, yet these two are of paramount importance in the walk of faith.
ReplyDeleteDeep teaching this.
Thanks Apostle for uplifting my soul, the defeated enemy will be defeated if I fear not
