DESTROYING AND DISMANTLING EVIL ALTARS AND WITCHCRAFT SPIRITS

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. I want to  share and talk about the issue of fighting invisible battles.

It is pertinent to note that there are altars and witchcraft forces that are fighting against our destiny. The devil is always after your destiny and vision for your  life.

 The title of my message is: DESTROYING AND DISMANTLING EVIL ALTARS AND WITCHCRAFT SPIRITS!"

 

 The Bible says, " We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness.."( Ephesians 6:12-13).  Firstly, I what to define and explain what evil altars are all about. Following are some of the questions I will try by God's grace  to answer as revealed accordingly: 

 

1)What are altars and how do they affect your life?

2) How the enemy uses altars to destroy lives?

3) What are different kinds of altars?

4)What about witchcraft attacks?

 

 In  spiritual warfare you cannot  really do much or affect much if you do not understand these two important subjects, altars and witchcraft.

There are people who have tried everything they can to be free, but still found themselves bound. The answer is altars.

 

You must address the altars that are speaking against your life.

You must confront the witchcraft spirit behind your lack of progress, your financial  situation, your stagnant life.

You must dig deep into your bloodline and break every evil foundation that has been erected for ages and serve as contact point for demons to gain access into your life and family.   (Ephesians 4:27). 

 

What  is an altar ?

An Altar is a place of spiritual sacrifice;  It can be in the godly way or satanic way.

It is a place of contact with the spirit world. 

Altars  are still used in the kingdom of darkness,  to make contact with demonic spirits.

It is a place of communion with God or gods, whenever God wanted to establish covenant or speak to his servants He would require them to build an altar. It is a place of servicing and activating covenants; whenever demons or devil worshippers want to initiate or establish covenants, they will use altars.

It is an entry point of spirits into the earth; and  an altar serves as means of opening one to the spirit realm.
It is the launching pad of spiritual operations to attack, targets and victims.
When Balaam  wanted to curse Israel, he prepared seven altars to use them as a launching ground for spiritual attacks. ( Numbers 23:1-30 .
It is a place of fellowship with the devil.

 Satanic altars are raised to stop people's progress.
 Most breakthrough delays are caused by demonic altars that are  blocking God's intervention.
They are raised to kill, destroy, and rule nations. ( John 10:10).

 Great leaders of our world have altars where they draw powers from, as they sacrifice on them. They are raised to stop the move of God; whenever God's people  are advancing, the devil will build altars to try and block God's move.  ( 1 Kings 18:19-40).
Elijah prepared an altar of God as a point of contact with the living God, who answered by fire. The prophets of Baal also prepared their own evil altar, as a point of contact for the forces of darkness.

An underlying definition for altars is ; a place of sacrifice for demonic agendas or service.   However, as a child of God you need not fear, the Lord is going to put your enemies to shame. Every altar is going to fall down and bow.(Philippians 2vs8-11)

God will never allow the enemy to win . Let the Lord deal with demonic altars now in Jesus's name. Pray out loud and say: Every altar raised against my life,  I command it to fall down by fire. Every curse projected against me from a demonic altar, I scatter it now by fire. Just shout Holy Ghost Fire, seven times against every Balaam altar erected to curse your  life, In Jesus's name-  AMEN!

There are Different types of Altars!                                
Godly altars :
A child of God can raise an altar of prayer, intercession, worship, thanksgiving, tithing, sacrificial giving unto God and His kingdom.

This counteracts satanic altars.
I believe everyone should be part of these three altars under Godly altars, they are:
 1) A personal altar
 2) A family altar
 3) A cooperate altar.              

A Personal altar is your own personal quite time with the Lord.(Mark 1vs35)
Family altar is for you and your family praying together. ( Joshua 24vs15)
Cooperate altar is for the church, (the saints) where you gather for fellowship and worship (Acts 4vs23-31, Hebrews 10vs25).
( Ephesians 4:16, Psalm 124:1-7, Isaiah 54:17).

As I continue on the topic of evil altars and godly altars as well as  destroying and dismantling these altars, I want also to talk about : "MARINE SPIRITS ".

What are marine spirits?                 
Marine spirits are:
Every spirit being living in the sea or under water is known as a marine spirit.
It is pertinent to mention that the  Marine kingdom is the greatest kingdom of all evil demonic kingdoms.

The Marine kingdom ìs the most wicked and well organized kingdom of darkness, above all the  other evil kingdoms, that exists in the air, the land and outside this planet. ( Ephesians 1:20-23, Ephesians 6:12) "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,  against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."( Ephesians 6:12).

In my research and information gathered, I established  that the headquarters of marine kingdom is located within India Sea. And the Queen of the India Sea, is the head of marine kingdom. While, Queen of the coast is next in command and she resides within the Atlantic Ocean.

Both are among the fallen evil forces from heaven, before.                
Revelations 17:1 speaks about these fallen beings; known as queen of the sea; "And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me saying to me; Come I will show you the judgement of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the water of her fornication.  The marine spirit induces and influences the spirit of lust and fornication. ( Proverbs 6v25, Matthew 5vs28, Romans 1vs27, James 1vs14).        

 Marine Spirits in the Bible:
 God created the world to exist in three spheres :
1. The heavens                               
2. The earth                       
3. The sea                          
In Genesis when God made man He said; "Let us make man in our own image and after........................let them have dominion  over the fish of the Sea  and over the fowl of the air.................( Genesis 1:26-27)

When God gave Moses the commandments book what He said in Exodus 20:3-4; is,"Thou shall not have other gods  before me............."
The Bible speaks of the  kings of  the earth in Psalms 2:2.
 It speaks of the Prince of the power of the air in Ephesians 2:2-3.
 And the queen of heaven in Jeremiah 44: 19, who worshipped by burning incense.

Then there is the great sea monster called the Leviathan, in Ezekiel 29:1-3.
He is referred to as the great dragon  that lies in the mists of the river, which have said; my river is mine I own it and I have made it myself.
This was clearly a spirit that claimed to own the water.
It is also referred to as Pharoah spirit inside the water.

This is what I can say and teach for now.
These spirits want to control people's lives and destiny.
However, the Lord Jesus came that we may have life in abundance. ( John 10:10). You can be delivered and set free from these demonic spirits and attacks.

The spirits come to attack  and affect people's lives in many forms. Some manifest as spiritual husbands and wives, which are caused by the marine kingdom.
While some come in the form of snakes, dogs, baboons, monkeys, lions, hyenas, among other many forms.

I will explain further in my other teachings next time.
Be set free and delivered from demonic oppression and evil attacks, in the name of Jesus.

GOD'S GREATNESS AND ABILITY IN YOUR LIFE

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! I want to encourage someone reading this message by sharing about, " GOD'S GREATNESS AND ABILITY IN YOUR LIFE!"  Moses and the Israelites sang the following song to the Eternal One. 

 

1. " I will sing to the Eternal, for He has won great victory; He has thrown the chariot into the sea: horse and rider.     

2. The Eternal is my strength and my song, and He has come to save me; He is my God, and I will praise Him. He is God of my father, and I will exalt Him.

     

3. The Eternal is a warrior; the Eternal is His name.                        

4. Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has thrown into the sea.         

And his high ranking officers are drowned in the Red Sea.             

5. The deep waters covered them; they sank to the muddy depths like a stone.  

 

6. Your right hand, Eternal One, is magnificent in power. Your right hand, Eternal, vanquishes the enemy.                         

7. In Your majestic greatness You conquer those who rise against You;

You unleash Your burning anger,  and it consumes them like straw. 

                                  

 8. With a blast of Your anger the waters piled high, the waves stood up like a wall; in the heart of the sea, deep waters turned solid.

9. " .......................I will draw my sword; my powerful hand will take possession of them once again."             

10. But You blew Your breath -wind, and the sea covered them;           they sank like lead down into the mighty waters.  

                            

11.. Who compares to You among the gods, O Eternal! ?    Who compares to You great in holiness,    awesome in praises, performing marvels and wonders?          

12. You raised Your right hand, and the earth swallowed Your enemies. " (Exodus 15:1-13).

 

When we reflect on the story of the Israelites's exit from Egypt, we see that throughout this redemption story, it is clear that the Lord has protected Israel while He judged and frustrated Egypt.

It is the same with you today, while the devil has been trying to wrestle with your life, the Lord has continued to prevent  and frustrate the devil from destroying your life.

 

After the many wonders before the Passover and the miraculous guidance by the cloud and pillar of fire, God destroyed the Egyptian army in the midst of the sea.

For centuries people have sought to explain this great miracle and make sense of it.

 

Was it a volcanic eruption and a tsunami that parted the waters? 

Was it a shallow lake that drowned Pharaoh's army? Perhaps! Perhaps not!

Only God knows. But reason cannot grasp all that took place that day.

 

When God's covenant people were on the verge of extinction, God stepped in to fight for them.

No one survived that day except by the miraculous grace of God.

Even you and me, though we are alive today, we once passed through burning fire, deep waters and storms of frustration, rejection, destruction, denial, persecution and demonic attacks.

 

However, the Lord rescued us from all these devastating encounters and experiences.

He has not allowed us to perish, because of His unfailing love and compassion.

Some of you have narrowly escaped  death in the past through accidents and sicknesses, but the Lord allowed you to cross the Red Sea and you did not perish.

 

Celebrate life with a thankful attitude, like the Israelites after crossing the Red sea, where they saw the enemy who was pursuing them perishing in the red Sea.

This year whatever has been following and pursuing your life, will perish and be destroyed in the name of Jesus. ( Exodus 14:13-14).

 

The Egyptians that have been pursuing you,  you shall see them no more in your life. The evil spirit that has been following your bloodline will disappear and be  destroyed in the name of Jesus.

 

Be still and know that there is God on your side to save and protect your life. ( Psalm 46:1-10, Isaih 43:1-3, Isaih 41:10-13, Isaih 59:1, Jeremiah 32:27, Jeremiah 33:3, Ephesians 3:20. Psalm 23:1-6, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Deuteronomy 31:6-8, Acts 20:32, Zechariah 4:6-7, Proverbs 3:5-6, Acts 4:12, Proverbs 18:10, Psalm 118:5-10, Romans 8:31-39).

 

 If God is for us, who can be against us? We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us all the time. The battle you are facing right now, is not yours, it is the Lord's.
Leave everything  to the Eternal God!
He will take care of everything in your life, big or small.

TRANSFORMED FOR VICTORY

 

 

 

 

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! I feel the urge to preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus everyday.    Allow me to share a message entitled: " TRANSFORMED FOR VICTORY!"

 

 My scripture reference is 2 Corinthians 4:1-13. In these scripture verses, drawing from Exodus 32-34, Paul uses Moses as a model of one who has been transformed by God's glory, but in a limited way.

 

 Moses encountered God ( Lord) through the Spirit on that mountain, but the Spirit now - as a fulfilment of the new covenant - dwells in the hearts of believers and continually transforms them. This transformation is based on a new way of understanding  God's revelation: Jesus Himself, the one who reveals God's glory, is the very image of God. (Exodus 33:14-20, Collosians 1:13-27).

 

Through this Spirit- enabled encounter, believers experience a new way of living and therefore come to resemble the Anointed One as they reflect His glory. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Galatians 2:20). With this new transformation, we  can now boldly say, it is no longer I living, but Christ in me is the one  living  for me.

 

We are transformed for victory by the blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit inside us.

The Bible says, 1. " Since we are joined together in this ministry as a result of the  mercy shown to all of us by God, we do not become discouraged. ...............

2.Instead, we aim to tell the truth plainly, appealing to the conscience of every person under God's watchful eye.     ....................         

 

7. But this beautiful treasure is contained in us - cracked pots made of earth and clay - so that the transcendent character of this power will be  clearly seen as coming from God and not from us.      

8. We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions  on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair.          

 

9. We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned.

We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed.                          

10. We always carry around in our bodies the reality of the brutal death and suffering of Jesus. As a result, His resurrection life rises and reveals its wondrous power in our  bodies as well. 

 

11. For while we live, we are constantly handed over to death on account of Jesus so that His life may be revealed even  in our mortal bodies of flesh.     

12. So death is constantly at work in us, but life is working in you..........."                  

 

Jesus' death is the means to new life for others. Similarly when believers suffer for others as Jesus did, their suffering is an avenue for God's life to transform situations. ( 1 Peter 5:9-10, James 1:2-6).

 

Our suffering and challenges are a ladder to divine elevation and promotion. We are transformed for victory through perseverance and patience in our Christian faith.

The situation you are facing now, will soon come to pass in the name of Jesus.   ( Hebrews 10:35-39).

 

Don't give up, Don't quit, Don't surrender, just be patient as you  wait for your deserved promises. ( 2 Corinthians 1:20).

Just say, I am transformed for victory.

I am not a victim, but a victor, in Christ Jesus- Amen! ( Romans 5:3-5).

UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRITUAL HEART BY COMPARING IT WITH THE HUMAN HEART

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! I would like to teach about the "Human Heart." " How you can understand the spiritual Heart by comparing it with the Human Heart."  The Bible says, "Guard against your heart, for inside it are the issues of life.( Proverbs 4vs 23) 

 

1. The human heart is located in the centre of the breast. This shows us that the spiritual Heart is located in the centre of a person's thoughts, words, actions and ministry. A person's heart is the very foundation of his ministry. That is why the  heart is so important. Everything that a person achieves  depends on his heart. Everything you become depends on your heart. 

 

 2. The human heart is about as big as your clenched fist. In other words , your heart is as big as your hand. What does this mean? It shows that the works of your hands  will only be as big as your heart.

3. The human heart contains  blood, which contains all nutrients. These nutrients come from what you have eaten. This shows us that your heart is affected by what you take in. THE CONTENTS OF YOUR SPIRITUL HEART ARE MADE UP OF WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD AND RECEIVED. MANY THINGS ENTER YOUR HEART  AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN IN YOUR MIND FOR A WHILE. 

 

 You must allow good things to come into your heart. You must also prevent evil things from coming into your heart. ( Mathew 12:34-37, Colossians 3:16-17)

 4.The human heart works by receiving  and then giving blood.

 

 This fact demonstrates how a person's life is affected by the heart. It is the blood that is received into the heart that is pumped out. A person receives  blood into his heart and pumps out fresh life- giving blood to the rest of the body.

 This means that what you allow to come into your heart is what you eventually give out. 

 

 5. THE HUMAN HEART PUMPS BLOOD TO THE FURTHERMOST AND DISTANT PARTS OF THE BODY. This demonstrates how the spiritual Heart affects the furthermost and minutest aspects of your life. Every little aspect of your life is somehow affected by what is in your heart. This is why the heart is so important, because it affects everything about you.  

 

6 THE HUMAN HEART GIVES LIFE TO THE WHOLE BODY BY PUMPING OXYGENATED BLOOD TO ALL PARTS OF THE BODY. This shows us that the heart of a person is what releases life, joy and peace. The life-  giving part of your ministry is your heart. ( Leviticus 17:11).  Life is in the blood.

 

7.WHEN THE CONTENT OF THE HUMAN HEART IS CONTAMINATED, THE CONTAMINATION IS PUMPED OUT TO AFFECT THE ENTIRE BODY. Likewise,  when the spiritual Heart is polluted with any form  of evil , this defilement  is pumped to the rest of the body.

 

Bitterness is a good example of something evil that can enter the human heart . It is easy to see a person whose heart is filled with bitterness and unforgiveness. His or Her heart pumps out that bitterness into the rest of his or her ministry and this is evident to the discerning eye. When he or she speaks, you sense the bitterness. When he or she preaches it just comes out. Be careful of what you allow to enter your heart. ( Ephesians 4:26-32, Jeremiah 17:8-10).
 "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks". ( Matthew 12vs34-37)

 

8. THE HUMAN HEART GETS SICK  WHEN IT HAS HIGH FAT DIET. This shows that the heart of a pastor or preacher gets sick when he receives too many massages on riches.  The Body of Christ has developed heart problems through the abundance of prosperity teachings.

 

   9. THE HUMAN HEART IS MORE PRONE TO DISEASE IN A BODY THAT GETS LITTLE EXERCISE. This truth shows us how the spiritual heart gets sick when it receives a lot of good feeding of the Word, but has not put it into practice.  Likewise,  the spiritual heart is more prone to diseases in a person with little chance to practise what he knows. The lack of missionary work, a lack of evangelism and a lack of outreach, have caused heart problems in the body of Christ. ( Joshua 1:8, Matthew 7: 24-27, Matthew 28vs19-20).

10. THE HUMAN HEART IS MORE PRONE TO DISEASE IN A BODY THAT TAKES IN ALCOHOL AND OTHER  DANGEROUS DRUGS.  Likewise, the spiritual heart  is affected by intoxicants like the pleasures of this world which multiply deceptions and delusions in our lives. These are very dangerous and bad to the body of Christ.  ( 2 Corinthians 6:16-17,  1 Corinthians 6:16-19).

 So let us guard against our hearts  and not defile ourselves with immoral activities and  dangerous drugs. ( Galatians 5: 16-23)

As I conclude on this subject of the "Human Heart, I want also to share on " Why the Shepherd's Heart Is Important." The Bible says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for OUT OF IT ARE THE ISSUES OF LIFE." ( Proverbs 4: 23 KJV).

1.The pastor or shepherd's heart is important because of the strong admonition to guard it. Anything that is heavily guarded is important. The extent of security around a building reveals how sensitive and important it is.

 The strong admonition in the Bible to protect the heart reveals how important it is. " Above all else, GUARD YOUR AFFECTIONS . For they influence everything else in your life." ( Proverbs 4:23 TLB).

 2. The pastor's heart is important because it is the source of all that he ministers.
 3. The pastor's heart is important because it is the source of all issues and problems. Most of the problems that we have emanate from the heart.

This is why problems must be solved at the heart level. Often, problems are solved superficially without  dealing with the heart. That is why the problems continue endlessly.
 KEEP THY HEART  WITH ALL DILIGENCE; FOR OUT OF IT ARE THE ISSUES OF LIFE. ( PROVERBS 4:23).             

4. The pastor 's heart is important because it influences everything in his life. Above all else , guard your affections. FOR THEY INFLUENCE EVERYTHING ELSE IN YOIR LIFE. Proverbs 4:23 ( TLB).                              
 5. Pastor's heart is important because that is where  life begins. If your ministry is full of life it is because your heart is full of life. " KEEP VIGILANT WATCH OVER YOUR HEART ; THAT IS WHERE LIFE STARTS." PROV. 4:23 MESSAGE BIBLE).
For out of it are the issues of life! Anything that is heavily guarded is important!

I end here on the subject of the Human heart. Your heart needs spiritual circumcision. " For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his son." ( Romans 8vs29) This is where the spiritual principle of circumcision comes in. Circumcision is the cutting away of the flesh. ( Genesis 17:11-14)  Romans 2v28-29 and Colossians 2vs2-14, are scriptures which speak about "spiritual circumcision". God was always after a circumcised heart in the Old Testament law. In the new covenant we now talk of spiritual circumcision of the inner spirit man. Let us seek deliverance for our heart's spiritual circumcision, in the name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN AHEAD OF YOU

Greetings in the name of Jesus! I just want to encourage you with a short message tittled " Challenges before you are a sign of the " Open heaven ahead of you!"

The challenges and problems that you are currently facing are a labour pain for the birth of greater fruits and miracles that are soon to come. " After you have suffered a little while, our God, who is full of kindness through Christ, will give you his eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up, and make you stronger than ever." ( 1Peter 5:10)

 

When the enemy attacks you he will be seeing the open heavens ahead of you. Arise men and women of valour and see what the Lord will do for you, while you are still here in the Land of the living.  Don't be shaken or moved by the enemy or challenges, because the army of heaven is with you right now.

 

The Bible says, " And Elisha prayed, and said Lord I pray thee open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man;  and he saw : and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (2Kings 6:17) Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see."

 

So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.(2kings 6 vs 18) Wooow! I see here an open heaven of the Lord's  army presence, which can not be seen by our natural eyes, but with the spiritual eyes.

 

You may feel devasted and defeated as if nothing is happening in your life, because your eyes have not been opened by the Holy spirit to see victory, instead of defeat and failure. The young man was full of fear and worry,  because he did not know that he was already in the presence of God and all was well,  until Elisha prayed for him to see properly. 

 

You need an Elisha in your life who can help you see God's greatness and His presence. You need an Elisha who can intercede for you to access your blessings and  conquer your enemies.

 " But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. " ( 1 Corinthians 2:912).

 

That which God has prepared for you and your family is already on your side and you do not see and believe it,  because your eyes are blinded by unbelief and doubt. You are even afraid of demons and wizards,  because you do not know who you are and who is with you right now. ( 2 Chronicles 32:6-8, Psalm 118:5-10, Romans 8:31, 1 John 4:4). 

 

There is an open heaven before you. Stop worrying and panicking you are in His presence, just see what the Lord will do for you. He will make a way for you where there is no way. He will fight your battles and the enemy's camp will be confused and defeated.

 

The battle is not yours, it is the Lord's. Fear not and worry not, it is well with you.  ( ISAIH 43:19-20, Exodus 14:13-14, 2 Chronicles 20:15). Arise and shine, there is an open heaven before you,  manifesting God's presence and his glory, to bring a new beginning and victory in your life.

 

 If you believe it, say, "Amen! ( ISAIH 60:1-3). Just keep the fire burning on the altar, in order to maintain the Lord's presence and glory all the time. Pray without ceasing, there is an open door before you, which no man can close until you access your blessings, healing and deliverance.

 

Jesus in you the hope of glory will do great things in your life, you shall testify. ( Revelations 3:7-8, Collosians 1:26-27, ISAIH 22:22, Revelations 12:11). Lift up your eyes and faith, to see the invisible reality in the spiritual realm. ( 2 Corinthians 4:18).

SATAN'S HOUR- A MOMENT OF BETRAYAL AND DENIAL!

 

 

 

 

Greetings in the name of Jesus. Allow me to share on a subject entitled " SATAN'S HOUR" A Moment of Betrayal and Denial! The Bible says, " When I was daily with you  in  the temple, you stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

 

Brethren, as we reflect on Christ's agony in Gethsemane, it becomes apparent that just as Adam's disobedience in a garden brought ruin upon mankind, so the obedience of 'the last Adam' in this garden was essential for mankind's salvation.

 

 One writer says, " Gethsemane supplies the medicine for the ills which followed upon the forbidden fruit of Eden." When the Saviour, having eaten the Passover and instituted the Holy supper, went accross the brook  Kedron to Gethsemane, not only was he going to a spot where he loved to go for prayer and rest, but also to a place where his enemies could easily find him.

 

 The Book of John also tells us, ' "Judas.....also knew the place' ( JOHN 18:2).  Let me hasten to mention that this moment of midnight hour of solitary confinement and betrayal is faced by almost all living beings, regardless of status and colour. It is a time of untold agony and suffering that is meant to elevate one from a position of nobody to somebody.  Jesus Christ's suffering and humility brought salvation to mankind. ( Philippians 2:5-11, Acts 4:12).

This was the most unkindest  cut of all............That kiss was a stab in the heart, a dastardly (wicked) act of disloyalty on the part of one who had been treated as a trusted friend. Don't trust a person, but trust God alone. A human being can change and betray you anytime. God never changes His plan for your life ( Jeremiah 17:5-7, Psalms 20:7, Proverbs 3:5-6, Malachi 3:6, Numbers 23:19-20, Jeremiah 29:11).

 

 " I am not speaking of all of you, said Christ, I know whom I have chosen. But the scripture will be fulfilled," He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me"' (JOHN 13:18). Soldiers arrested Jesus while he stood calmly without reacting, when Judas sold him to the enemies. Christ's hands were firmly bound, but not before they had once again been stretched out in mercy as he healed Malchus' s war  ( Luke 22:51).

 

What amazing love and mercy by our Savior.  Regardless of the situation Christ was in,  he continued to extend his loving healing hand to those who were agsinst him. He knew that vegeance is of the Lord and for not us. ( Romans 12:14-21).  Wooow! The last thing the Lord Jesus did before His hands were bound was to heal! It was at the moment of arrest, that the Saviour made the profound statement, " This is your hour, and the power of darkness."

A PREDETERMINED HOUR! The hour of Christ's arrest, trial and crucifixion was determined in the counsels of the Godhead from all  eternity. Although slain by 'wicked hands ', Christ's suffering and death was ' according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God' ( Acts 2:23). This hour was  predestined and it was prophesied: prophecy depends on predestination. Thus both Matthew and Mark, in their account of Christ's arrest, quote his saying, ' All this has taken place, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled' ( Matthew 26:56).

 

 Clearly, Christ saw  his captivity in terms of God's sovereign schedule. All of history had moved unerringly and inexorably to this hour. The statement of the Saviour attributing his arrest to 'the power of darkness' shows that initially the plan of God, enemies would succeed, not just because they came to him under cover of darkness, but essentially because in this hour Satan and his forces were permitted by God to subject Christ to further suffering and humiliation.

 

God reserved this hour for Satan. In all of time this hour was especially his. Heeeey! Imagine God allowing the devil to do what was done to His only begotten son  ( Job 1:7-21). Sometimes our shuddering and tribulations are allowed by God to take place as a way of testing us and strengthing our faith. Some trials and tribulations are meant to test our faith and trust in God ( 1 CORINTHIANS 10:7:13. John 16:33).

 

 The darkness of which Christ spoke was the darkness of evil and of the prince of darkness. In this dread hour Satan had free rein. In the case of Job God set a limit to Satan's activity. In the experience of Christ there were no limits to Satan's onslaught  He was free to do his worst , and he did.

Instead he continued as usual to go to a place of solitary confinement and prayer to worship His Father whom he knew had  solutions and and anwers to all his challenges and problems.  ( Psalms 91:1-3). But in the  spirit of voluntary self-surrender he met his enemies. Despite challenges and storms of life you may be facing, don't give up on prayer, fasting and reading God's word.

 

 Usually when people have challenges and problems they do not have strength and courage to stand up and pray. But the people who know their God would be strong and take action. You do not give up or surrender because of storms of life. ( Daniel 11:32, Hebrews 10:35-39).

 

 Remember, Paul and Silas in their midnight hour in prison they did not keep queit, but sang a song and prayed instead of mourning and crying, Like what others do. You have to be strong in the Lord  in times of trouble and tribulations.  ( Ephesians 6:10, John 16:33).

 

 Jesus even warned us that in the world we will always face tribulations and trials, but we should not be moved and shaken. ( Psalms125:1-2). Be strong in the Lord and His might power.

 It was at Gethsemane where Judas, in the company of soldiers, gave the prearranged signal whereby they might identify the Nazarene - an  ostentatious kiss of apparent affection. It was an act of black treason.

CHRIST'S HOUR! Because God sovereignly chose this hour, there is a sense in which it must also be seen as Christ's hour, the hour appointed for his sacrifice. Thus it is called Satan"s hour on one place and Christ's in another.

 

 There is no contradiction in this.  The same event is viewed from different angles. Throughout his earthly ministry Christ was conscious of an hour which would be peculiarly his as  as well as perculiarly Satan's.

 

This aspect of his  Messianic consciousness receives prominence in John's gospel. Repeatedly the Lord declares,  ' My time is not yet come.' Gethsemane and Calvary marked high noon in the world's long day, and God's permission was absolute as Satan mustered his legions for the decisive encounter.

 

 As Satan entered the battlefield he did so fully conscious of the Word of God: ' He shall bruise your head,  and you shall bruise his heel.' When tempting Christ in the wilderness, Satan had done his utmost to deflect him from this hour, to take some other road than the way of the cross, but all in vain.

 

 Now the battle has commenced in earnest. Nothing could stop it . This is your hour, Satan!
Christ was well aware when his hour had not yet come. He was equally aware when it had. Thus in his great high priestly prayer he could say, " Father, the hour has come; glorify your son that the son may glorify you........."There is a note of finality about the perfect tense here  - ' the hour has come and remains.' ( John 17)

 

 Yet as he prayed in the very shadow of the cross , Christ saw his death as the means to true glory, and He saw his own glory closely connected with that of his Father. Indeed they merged as one. ' So the name of soldiers .....arrested Jesus and bound him' ( John 18:12). In  modern parlance, Christ the King, was led away handcuffed. No longer had he free passage in his own world.

 

 Voluntarily he submitted to captivity - he who in all this was to lead captivity captive! As Judas led the soldiers into the garden, the Saviour was advancing to meet him. ' Rise' he said, ' let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand' (Markb14:42 (. For the moment the storm had passed and Christ's whole bearing was marked by total self- possession and sublime composure.  He knew what awaited him and as he went his steps were firm. ( Hebrews 12:26-29). He could not be shaken because his Kingdom is unshakeable.

When on one occasion, the Jews tried to arrest him, there were unable to do so: 'No one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come' ( John 7:30).  The time for his arrest and death was not yet, and no matter how might his enemies could not advance it by so much as a second.

 

Predestination keeps perfect time  ( For similar expressions to ' My hour ' in John's Gospel, ( John2:4, John7: 6,8 John8:20, John 12:23, 27l, John13 :1, John 16:32 and John 17:1). John makes clear that from the very beginning there is an appointed hour for the Saviour and before that time he could not be harmed. In your own life there is an hour for Christ, when you shall receive your blessings, deliverance, marriage, job and financial breakthrough ( Galatians 6:9-10, Ecclesiastes 3:1-11).

 

  As I conclude I want to mention that, the garden was empty again, this lonely garden that time-which is situated mid - way between Eden and a greater garden than Eden, that is so beautifully described in Revelation 22. It is where it flows for ever' river of the water of life.'

 

 The strugle in Gethsemane had  been fierce. Soon the struggle would be fiercer still. ' That old serpent, called the devil and Satan' had uncoiled and had bared his fangs, poised to strike again and again with all the venom of which he was capable.

 

 Trampling on serpents is a most painful experience,  especially for the heel. ( Luke 10:19). Jesus Christ overcame Satan's hour on the CROSS.  So you can also overcome that hour as a born again Christian.  ( 1 John 5:4-5, Romans 8:31-39). You can overcome challenges and storms of life, as well as sicknesses and diseases. Because of Christ we can face challenges in life.

 

 May God help you overcome dark hours and storms of life.

ALIGNMENT WITH JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

Greetings in the name of Jesus!  I just want to encourage all intercessors and prayer warriors, that there are certain requirements needed for all of us as children of God, particularly those that stand in the gap on behalf of the body of Christ. (Ezekiel 22:30)

                                                              
First, as intercessors, we must understand that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are interceding for us, and that when we intercede, we need to be aligned with God's will. 

 

The title of my message is:" Alignment With Jesus and The Holy Spirit". Jesus is intereceding for us. " (Jesus), because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him , since He  always lives to make intercession for them.For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens. ( Hebrews 7:24-26).

 

 The book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus, as our High Priest, is right now " seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the Heavens" ( Hebrews 8:1). He sacrificed Himself on our behalf, and now that He has returned to the Father, He is interceding for our spiritual preservation.

 

 Find time to read carefully the revealing passage from John, where Jesus prayed to the Father just before His crucifixion. " I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me,  for they are Yours, and all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine and I am glorified in them .............(John 17:9-24).     

 Jesus prayed: (1) that believers would  live in unity, just as He is one with the Father,  (2) that we would have the same joy He has, (3) that we would be kept from the evil one, ( 4) that we would be sanctified by God's truth, (5) that we would have unity with other believers and with the Father and the Son, (6) that we would be witnesses to the world of the truth of the gospel because of this unity, and ( 7)  that one day we would live with Jesus and see His glory.             

As we pray, we can intercede along the same lines for ourselves and others. Jesus said that we can pray to the Father in His name,and that our requests will be answered: " If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." ( Matthew 18:19-20).       This is a prayer of agreement which is also very critical in our prayer lives. ( John 14:12-14, John 15;16).

 The Holy Spirit also intercedes on our behalf when we are weak, as we pray in the spirit. ( Romans 8:26-27). When we are at a loss of words, the Holy Spirit steps in to intercede on our behalf. He communicates what we would pray if we only had the understanding and words to say it.

I know there are times when we are so low and devastated, and don't have strength, that is when the Holy Spirit takes over and intercede on our behalf. We should never view prayer as a laborious task because the Spirit is there to help us.

 Intercede for God's  kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. ( Matthew 6:10). Ask God to baptize you with His Holy Spirit so that you may pray to God through a Spirit - given prayer language in the " tongues of men and of angels " ( 1 Corinthians 13:1), as you address the many needs in your life and other people"s lives. ( Mark 16:17, Acts 2:1-11, 1 Corinthians 12:5-11; 1 Corinthians 14vs39)

The apostle Paul said, " I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit , and I will also sing with the understanding " ( 1 Corinthians 14:15).

We are to pray according to the will of God and ask that the Holy Spirit would speak through us to say the right words. Then we are to yield ourselves to God and allow His Spirit to pray through us as we trust and believe Him.

  "Beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God. ( Jude  1:20-21).  Let us pray in the spirit without ceasing.  (Ephesians 6:18).

We need to align ourselves with  Jesus and the Holy Sprit, in our intercession prayers. Intercessors have a great role of praying on behalf of other people as well as the Church, Nation and community at large. ( 1 Timothy 2:1-2).

 However, if you are in the intercession ministry, you must strive to live and lead an upright and blameless life. Your prayer life must be clean and highly acceptable before  God. Although, all Christian believers are expected and required to live holy lives, intercessors have a mandate to stand in the gap on behalf of other people. It is one of the attribute requirements to be clean and blameless before God.( Isaiah 1vs15-16, Psalm 24vs3-4).

 Sin, offenses  and unforgiveness, can be a barrier for answered prayers. ( Isaiah 59:1-3, Mark 11:24-26, Ephesians 4:26-32, Matthew 18:7).
