INVEST IN YOUR PERSONALITY

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! I am pleased to share the word of life which is aimed at growing our faith in the  Lord, as well as shaping our personality and character, as a body of Christ. The title of my message is: " INVEST IN YOUR PERSONALITY".

The Bible says, " And he said to them, " Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. " ( Luke 12:15  ESV). The Lord Jesus's admonition in the scripture above lets us know that the key thing in life ins't the craze or pursuit for material possession, because life is not defined by what you have, but by who you are.

This is the reason you must invest in your personality. Who you are inside, the quality of your personality-  that's what counts, not the abundance of your material possessions!
Consciously invest in yourself. Invest in your mind and in your character. ( Romans 12:1-2).

The Bible also says, " Seek ye fisrt the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these other things will be added unto you. ( Matthew 6:33).
We have to focus more on enhancing and shaping our personality, rather than focusing more on material possessions.

When you build your personality to become a man or woman of substance and character, your greatness in life will be  inevitable; you will surely have the things that others run after.
If a man has invested in his personality to be great inside, no matter what he may amass in terms of material possessions they will surely fade away.

The scripture says, " Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."  ( Matthew 6:19-21).

Instead, let us invest in our personality by feeding our spirits with  the right word of God. The Bible also says, " And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified." ( Acts 20:32).

The word of God is able to build our character and personality, so that we may become people of note. So, make the choice today to work on " being something" and not on " having anything." In this regard the first material you must begin to consciously digest into your spirit is the Word of God.
Meditating on it will give you " good success"( Joshua 1:8).

That means you will prosper in all your endeavors. Also, get interested in educative and informative materials that will improve your mind.
If you are a student in school, don't join the crowd of hustlers, be committed to improving your spirit and your mind!

That way, you are setting your sail for a glorious future. However, let me hasten to mention that it is not bad to also invest in material possessions, but we must balance our lives by investing in our personalities and character as well, so that we may have divine wisdom to manage both spiritual and physical material possessions.

Many times people who focus more on material possessions and neglect their personality and character, do fall and fail in life, due to fame and pride as well as physical and material lust. ( Galatians 5:15-23, Colossians 3:5-8). Be committed to improving your character by building yourself with the right and necessary materials.

Remember, when you are great inside, nothing will stop that greatness from manifesting on the outside.
Don't forget that the word also says" Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world . ( 1 John 4:4).

I also encourage you to read the whole chapter of Psalm 73:1-28, it will enlighten and open your spiritual eyes to see beyond the physical and material world.( 2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
Once again I urge you to invest more in your personality and character, in order to achieve and fulfill God's divine purpose and plan for your life!

A certain writer called Dwight L. Moody said, "Character  is what you are in the dark".  Balance your act and character and be real and truthful all the time, before man and God.
God sees every detail of your life, including your spiritual abd physical nakedness. ( Hebrews 4:13, Psalm 139:1-14). "Let us examine ourselves...!"(2 Corinthians 13:5-6).

Have a productive and fruitful life!
May God richly bless you all!

DON'T SUBJECT YOURSELF TO ABUSE

Shalom! I hope you are  well and blessed.  I am delighted to share the word of life and  encouragement. The Holy Spirit has prompted me to share about abuse. There are many  people who are hurt  and offended,  because of abuse and constant torture and beating. I sense I am talking to someone right now,  who is failing to move on with life, because they fear being scorned and laughed at. The title of my message is: " DON'T SUBJECT YOURSELF TO ABUSE".

However, at this point, I want to dispel a very common misconception about abuse and offense. Contrary to what most people think, removing yourself from an abusive situation doesn't necessarily mean you are offended or unforgiving. For example, if your husband beats you, God does not expect you, or your children, to remain in such an environment.  And leaving such a horrendous situation does not necessarily mean that you are offended.

It is actually possible to leave an abusive situation and not harbor offense towards the abuser. However, if you leave that situation with hatred or bitterness towards your abuser, then you are in direct disobedience of God's Word. Jesus did not harbor hatred or bitterness towards those who betrayed Him or nailed Him to the cross. Instead He said, " Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do". ( Luke 23:34).

Jesus demonstrated His love for the Father by obeying His commandments. The Bible says, " By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome." ( 1 John 5:2-3).

Do you love God? How do you demonstrate your love for God? According to the above verse, crying, praying , or even tithing doesn't prove your love.  Instead, your love is proven only when you keep His commandments  ( keep God's word). When the Lord said in Matthew 19:19, " Love your neighbor....." He didn't mean to love only those who love you in return. His commandment to love is without exception.

Choose to prove your love for God by obeying His Word. He has given you the anointing, the grace, and the power to love and live free from offense. Meanwhile, by not subjecting yourself to abuse and leaving such a tormenting environment, you can still live an offense free life, without holding back unforgiveness and offense.

I know it may sound a bit difficult and impossible, not to be offended after having been abused. What I mean is that one must leave an abusive situation and go to a place where you will not continue to be abused and forget about the former things, by forgiving and forgetting. ( Isaih 43:18-19, Ephesians 4:31-32).

By doing so,  one may not harbor offense toward the abuser. While there are some challenges and situations which need perseverance and waiting upon the Lord, but physical abuses cannot be tolerated before God.( Isaiah 40:31).

Let us love one another even as families, relatives and friends. ( 1 John 4:7-11, John 13:34-35).  " Don't subject yourself to abuse". There are young people as well as old people, who keep queit while being abused.

Speak out and come out from such an abusive situation and you will be delivered in the name of Jesus.  God help us not to be subjected to abuse and physical torture.
We need more of  your grace Lord!

May God bless and protect you all.

HIS ANGER IS TEMPORARY, BUT HIS MERCIES ENDURE FOREVER.

Shalom! I just feel in the spirit that I should encourage someone who is about to give up this season..  At times you pray and read the word, but you feel as if God is not saying something.  God is never silent and His anger is just but for a moment.  The title of my message is: "HIS ANGER IS TEMPORARY, BUT HIS MERCIES ENDURE FOREVER

" The scripture says, 31. " Kept on God's care: the Lord won't reject Him forever. 32. Kindness prevails: Even though God torments sometimes,  the greatness of God''s loyal love wins out.            33. Keeping us down: It is not the desire  or way of God's heart to hurt and grieve the children of men." ( Lamentations 3:31-33 VOICE).

Hope is realized when the next generation of exiles in Babylonia receive God's mercy and are brought back to the promised land, Palestine, in a second exodus, a journey not unlike what the  Israelites experienced as they left Egypt under Moses's leadership.

God surely causes grief and torment, but He also provides kindness that originates from His heart of compassion. The discipline administered by the heavenly Father hurts, but the pain is not lasting and actually reflects His compassion.

When the Lord sends affliction, it is instructive, restorative, and temporary. ( 2 Timothy3:16-17).  Affliction and judgement may sometimes come from the Almighty, but what always springs from the heart of God is deep and eternal mercy for His people.

Although the Lord had been angered by the children of Israel and allowed them to be held in captivity for many years  under the Babylonian rule, He later had compassion for them and they were delivered and set free.

We are sometimes tormented and troubled by demons and other storms of life, but the Lord is quick to rescue us and set us free. So whatever challenge or problem you are facing right now, will not last forever, it is temporary and it shall come to pass.

Psalm 30:5 says, " His wrath, you see, is fleeting, but His grace lasts a lifetime. The deepest pains may linger thoughts at night, but joy greets the soul with the smile of morning. "
Indeed joy comes in the morning after a night of torment, persecution  and suffering.

God's mercies endure forever. ( 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Corinthians 4:8-18).
Temporary is the Lord's anger, but permanent are His everlasting mercy and love.

Stop worrying and panicking, you are coming out of that situation in Jesus's name -AMEN!
The Lord is in control of your situation.
Just be still and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10)

The Lord will fight all your physical and invisible battles!  ( 2 Chronicles 20:14-15).
Live a hopeful and joyful life!
May God richly bless you all!
